Tried to deadlift only 80lbs for 10 reps. On my back for 2 days
What is this part of the back called? I don’t want to keep calling it “lower back”
I broke my spine 7 years ago and now I have a rod with 4 bolts along either side of my spine, it doesnt normally bother me except for when I lift something heavy from the ground, or even when I work on something where i have to bend over a lot my lower back gets tired real easy, so I'm looking for an exercise to strengthen my lower back without causing more damage
Always keep your back straight, never ever bend it under any circumstances ever, it is made of sugar glass, the most fragile part of your body ever. Yes your spine has vertebrae and muscles surrounding it, but they are meant to never be used, ever. Your back will instantly break and you will be paralyzed or die if your bend your back even once.
Maybe just deadlift?
Loop resistance band good mornings. Make sure they are not long.

Ive noticed the following workout helps my lower back over time bc I have a badback:
Lay down, do leg lifts, both at the same time and alternating one leg at a time (left,right,left,right). Starting out, you can put your hands flat under your buttocks to help, also can grab the sides of your pant legs. This workout is meant for lower abs but it helped my lower back wonderfully
