im having trouble activating my long head with tricep overheads and especially skullcrushers, no matter the weight it feels liie my delts are slightly taking over when i dont want them active at all
how far do i need to spread my elbows apart for those all the way or just past shoulder width?

The difference between over head push and normal push downs is insane, when you push down you feel the side tricep get stiff but when you you push above head it stays softer, while the long head gets the work done
Guys I have an issue, can SOMEONE help me. Sometimes when I do this, my shoulder starts to take over in my left arm, idk how or why but my right Tricep gets the perfect contraction and my left doesn’t get a good one, any tips?!

Does the torso/tricep angle matter? Cos I tend to point elbows towards 45deg/towards parallel than closer to 90deg esp with heavy weights

basically you need a crossbody extension and an overhead extension to target the long head well .

Overhead extensions are not better (closer to equally as good/slightly worse) than a extension normally. Because you're weakening/lengthening only the long head extra the othet heads will take over most of the job.
I have pain in both of my shoulders when doing overhead, any solution?
