This looks interesting. I swam a 525m on my back today which is really slow. I’m a beginner and have vertigo so, I’m going to try swimming on my back with a noodle and my arms above my head to see how I do. Thanks for the tips and please keep them coming!

I worked on my kicking and it was only my 5th lesson. I swam so fast did not even realise
i was told as a teen to keep my legs straight. Which meant to me NO bend in the knees whatsoever.
So the guide is: use the hips and the quads, but not the quads, and just kick. Just kick.

arent the quads used for knee extension? so the explanation doesnt make sense. If you are using quads, then it's wrong?
Thanks for the video. But we tried this drill on back hands on the side, miserably not propelling at all no matter how much kicked. Instead at times move a bit and stop on opposite direction…. that was a sure signal the technique is completely wrong, can you advice?

I heard that the toes should be pointed inwards also. Maybe it is mentioned somewhere in the video, but I missed it in that case.

when i swim freestyle, i have to try moving my legs and even then, it is just my ankles and feet some. i cannot do the whole scissor kick thing. i wish i could
