Why are the questions always so damn cringe? Are they all asked by boomers?
Good that Ubisoft try to reach to you and make a video. Performance on iohone is better but it can be better and it can be better on more devices.
will not play a game that relies on fake frames period
I think 4K is already really good and don't see the need for 8K, I think it would be better to push FPS to the point where 4k 480hz screens become a standard
Games like Hellblade and Alan Wake are games that I'm too lazy to put mental effort into, but actually enjoy watching others play through.
I hate Hellblades visual puzzles.
what game will be crazy with rtx infamous second son
I'm only interested in Windows in ARM/RISC-V if it results in more competition in the CPU market for desktops. I would love for there to be viable alternatives to Intel and AMD for home desktop use. Linux only needs a translation for things like gaming since most software for Linux is just rebuilt for ARM. I can see Windows eventually going the way of having the emulation layer built into the OS so that it will run Windows software whether it was compiled for x86 or ARM, the whole OS experience will be a layer abstracted from the hardware. I don't know if Linux will ever do that, since again opensource software you can just compile it for any esoteric system you have, but it might find its way into Wine/Proton.
Speaking of, Linux is something everyone who is concerned about privacy should be looking at using instead of Windows.
With most games now developed for both PC and consoles, even console (temporary) exclusives, having dynamic resolution would help titles to get future proof (albeith they would allow a different framerate target), even if the current max resolution reacheable by current hardware is not the max coded for the console (but is probably taking into account for PC anyway).
Why is the frame rate not applied to consoles
Yeah. I really hope the next gen consoles, PS6 and Xbox Next, don’t target 8K at all. Next gen, 4K should still be the ceiling.
I've been playing Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth since it released 3 months ago, and I'm only just at the point where the open world truly….opens (Chapter 12). Currently over 80 hours logged. After this I have Dragon's Dogma 2 and Baldur's Gate 3 lines up. Genuinely don't think I'll play anything else this year 🤣
Freelancer could be RTXremix'd pretty well, I think.
John really has no idea what the average person has for a tv or monitor at home, he is used to using pretty much the best of the best for so many years, hes completely out of touch with reality.
I love that Rich, as a British person, is incapable of expressing the exclamation so must say the words "exclamation point" each time 😛
more tom please
I mean I think the whole “length” thing is a valid argument. I’m married with twins that were just born. No I don’t have a million hours to play a game, but if I’m gonna pay full price for a game. I want to feel like I got my money worth. It took me over 200 hours to finish Rebirth over the last few months, but I enjoyed every second.
Y’all are the best period. As a gamer nerd you just do it for us.
Shogo: Mobile Armor Division would be a good looking candidate for RTX Remix.
Re future compatibility …
I would much rather have developers spend all their time making the game run the best it can on the current gen hardware of the time.
I don't know if I'm just missing something about frame generation but I did notice that enabling FSR3 on Immortals PS5 introduces a very noticeable input lag. Forgive me if this is common knowledge and therefore left out by DF in their analysis.
That guy at 35:47 is tripping, Hellblade 2 isn't seven hours long, lmao. Five at best.
I'm surprised by your take on 8K gaming. While 8K native is, at least currently, just wasteful, 8K output makes sense to me. I have a 4K 32" QD-OLED display and while it's fine for gaming, I notice that the sharpness could very well be improved. Text, both in windows but also in games is just not as sharp as it could be. The computational cost for 8K gaming doesn't need to be that high as upscalers are becoming better and better. I would be fine with a 1440p base resolution upscaled to 8K if the HUD is rendered natively and DLSS improves a bit more. Pair this with future frame gen tech like frame reprojection and we should be able to enjoy games at 4320p@1000fps, even if natively only rendered at 1440p@120fps. While I'm not confident we will be getting this in 2030, it is a possibility.
I wish more people played immortals of aveum. Really shows what Unreal 5's particle system is capable of.
Yeah when I heard about bathe acquisition I worried about df. I actually check you guys for reviews of games even though you really don’t do that when you comment on how a game is it hasn’t misdirected me if it’s a type of game I won’t like I’m aware even if you like it. So you guys and fightincowboy seem to have similar tastes as me
Use vsync or not? Talking about frame generation of course.😊
You can't claim to want to defend artistic visions and then advocate for weird frame generation and superscaling out of the other side of your mouth.
1:46:00 Not every game is meant for everyone. Options are great as long as they don't compromise the artistic intent and style of the game. The developers' vision should come first. If the game artistic style is not for you, then play something else. Simple
The fps drops are still massive on the series x.
