  1. I agree with everyone else, this isn't the way (in my opinion) the apparel should be branded. This is BARBELL BRIGADE. While true that its not just about power lifting and body-building, barbell is about doing some sort of physical training fin order to maintain some sort of fitness. They should market it like how Nike markets their clothes; Sport oriented but also fashionable at the same time. This just seems like regular fashion, which is fine but just seems like it separates completely from its original inspiration.

  2. Everyone who's complaining about how ''they aren't even power lifters'' you have to realise that if they want to succeed as a clothing company they have to also appeal to the general public, they're being professional. They aren't just selling stuff as fan merch they want to expand their clothing brand. You know of their apparel because you fallow this channel. These adds are meant for people who don't know about it. And no the merch is not just for power lifters.

  3. I love and respect barbell I just felt like this add should of been thought out more I think they could of made it way better by showing clips of Bart and geo in DTLA or Nadeem and Lou or Cerro and just other gym goers at the beach around a bomb fire playing an acoustic or in the woods camping they could of showed people warring the brand in the gym and then people warring the brand outside the gym showing that not only is this brand worn at the gym but it can also be worn on the streets I think that would of been a whole lot better

  4. If you check out the Instagrams of each model, they all are casual commercial gym goers. So yeah, they do lift, they're just not serious powerlifters or weightlifters. It would be cool to see some famous athletes model the apparel though!

  5. Before you guys criticize on why they didn't use people who lift as models, you guys need to understand what a 'lookbook' is. I have a friend whose parents own a wetsuit manufacturing company. When they needed to produce a new catalog they didn't use actual scuba divers as models, they hired professional models.

  6. I get that Barbell Brigade i trying to make clothes everyone can wear both in the gym and out on the street, just like the owners and crew do , but I would think having people that at least look like they have been near a barbell or are someway in decent shape who look like semi hipsters and regs would have been better in the clothes and the branded clothes. plenty of fitness models who have a decent fashion sense. I do like the advert though, well shot and ting!
