Why does Chloe Ting have haters?

Hey everybody! Today we’re talking about Chloe Ting’s most recent video all about her haters and why I think she has them.

  1. the chloe ting videos are helping me into working out again but i do definitely see the problematic marketing and claims she makes, and it is not the best for me. Are there any fitness channels that offer free programs like hers? So I can just follow videos and workout daily? I have to admit her program format is really helpful because I don't have too much time.

  2. When you’re in a position to help people, you need to not just listen to people; you need to be mindful of the vulnerable people that you ARE in a position to help. Most of these millions and millions of viewers on her videos were just that: vulnerable. This concept has been researched in marketing (look up PMC or Personalised Marketing Communications for the Vulnerable) but not enough. It’s highly likely that those who were (or are still) resorting to her workouts are young people who don’t know much about fitness; they’re still trying to navigate through the millions of videos with a lot of complex (and sometimes contradictory) ideas. I’m 22 now, and I have the perfect workout routine, but when I tell you I started working out at 16 and it took me 3-4 years ti navigate through all the misinformation and disinformation online and figure out MY routine that works for me, I’m not exaggerating. 3-4 YEARS! Of course it’s great I figured things out, but it would’ve been nice if I didn’t have to go through all the clickbaity videos to get there. Btw I’m excluding those who go into her workouts with enough knowledge and awareness; good for you and whatever works for you is amazing! I’m only centring on those who get affected by these clickbait videos: HELPLESS, VULNERABLE (mostly young) people. And in her misogynistic speech, she also mentions that she’s doing these “home” workouts because not everyone has access to weights and/or a gym. Well, I gotta say something: I’m not against weightless workouts; I sometimes incorporate weightless workouts when my body needs them. However, I am against the notion that you NEED some dumbbells/formal weights to do a weighted workout. There are a lot of ways to incorporate some regular items you have around home to do a weighted workout for FREE.

  3. Chloe ting helped me throughout my life and I'm forever thankful and sometimes if people are giving hatred on her and not doing her program "it's a waste of my time" no it's not because I did 2 week shred and 2020 summer shred so.. uhh yeh

  4. Yeah I think you're just not understanding what she's saying. She never specifically says "spot reduction doesn't work" she says in several different workouts that if you want to obtain visible abs, your body fat is a key player in that and that the workouts are there to build your ab muscles but if there is too much fat to see them, there's too much fat to see them. Prettymuch every time she puts out new ab related programs she explains this. She also states that weight loss is achieved through a combination of exercising and healthy diet and then tells people to visit her website for recipes.

She doesn't need to specifically debunk the myth of spot reduction because she never at any point in any video states that you can achieve abs through spot reduction. It's a completely irrelevant complaint and yes she does actually explain how to actually achieve abs. On her website there are descriptions that explain how they work your muscles, and assist with weight loss. She also says in several of her workouts such as the hip dip workout that doing the video isn't going to necessarily change your body shape and that there's nothing wrong with hip dips, it's just a program designed to tone the muscles that would reduce the appearance of hip dips. Her ab videos have disclaimers like this too ever since people started imagining that her videos will cause weight loss in their belly.

  5. She made me start exercising (which i am really grateful for) also she is one of the "toxic diet culture starters" she has some points that are right but the eay she talks and adresses gives me the ick

  6. She mentioned about this abs in two week that every body is different from the other ones and some bodies needs time to gain muscles and other will gain the muscles in a small amount of time

  7. I started off with Chloe's workouts during covid, and for me they were great at the time, but after (well, towards the end of) covid I got a job at a gym and had free access and quickly realised her workouts weren't for me. I do, however, still use her old cooldown video after every workout I do, I find that one works better than any cooldown I've done. But I was in her discord server and everything, she sent me free bands bc I couldn't afford them. I think her heart's in the right place, she definitely seems like she wants to help people, she's just not quite going about it the right way yk

  8. Oh my god, I heard of Chloe Ting before and never had an opinion on her, never heard her speak until this video. She really, really doesn't seem like a good, mature or responsible person… Wow. Why do we as a society keep making these terrible people famous? This is sad.

  9. "You don't have to bring someone down to bring yourself up"

Y'all keep hating, lmao. Her workouts work. If someone has an ED go seek professional help. Chloe doesn't need to be accountable about someone else's mental problems

  10. Unpopular opinion: spot reduction does actually work after all.

Science isn't perfect, people do studies and get different results all the time.
A recent study shows that it is actually possible. Every fitness influencer holds onto the idea that it's a myth like it is the holy grail or something. They always shoot it at others to criticize them. Other than new studies saying otherwise, it's just common sense. When you grow a muscle in an area and stay consistent for a while the fat in that area will eventually burn more than the fat that is further away from that muscle.

  11. Chloe Ting is like Wikipedia, a beginner platform to get you into fitness. I used to believe that you can actually get a toned body with just weightless workout (not even calisthenics) because she says it in her videos. So she is quite misleading I would say

  12. i never disliked or thought negatively of chloe ting until she started fighting to NOT take accountability for valid criticism… like…. that's not how life works. none of us are jesus, you're gonna mess up, where most people judge you is how you respond to that

  13. Yes to not blaming others for your ED but they didn't do that. It's just a fact that a LOT of people used her workouts when they had an ED, me included. It's something that sadly a lot of people can relate to and while she didn't cause eating disorders, her titles and marketing definitely didn't help anyone either.

Edit: not to mention her response screams insecurity and defensiveness so yeah not a good look for her

  14. My opinion on all of this is as someone who did Chloe workouts is that yes Chloe never promoted ed however the reality is that yes the fact that she is on « society standards » of women bodies or that her thumbnails were very clickbait did give her a boost snd that also the time where she picked was a time where a lot of people were into a really bad mental health phase so she could’ve done better or at least start inserting TW on her content or recipes

  15. As far as I'm aware, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the fact that Chloe STILL promotes those clickbaity videos on her website. Around the time her response to the backlash was posted, I was doing her 2 week ab shred challenge and pretty much the entire plan was full of those videos still.

  16. Well, I started working out two years ago and I did start with Chloe's programme. I like it, bcs it made me workout every day, set up rutine and I felt really proud after 30 days without missing single day. And from that I moved to another 30 days programm but from Sydney C.So yes, it is bad and problematic, but in some way it helped me a lot.

  17. ok this is enough… u are literally making content on someone who is more famous than you. This is ok, but your opinions are extremly missleading… WTF, this is so bad in many ways

  18. Put in the work NOTHING worth having comes quick…”that’s what she said”😂 but really I don’t know how bright u have to be to believe it can be done in 2 weeks ❤

  19. 5:52 Its not the same thing.
"Hourglass in 2 weeks" is a very VERY unrealistic goal and would be false advertising but her 2 week ab workout ACTUALLY gives you abs in two weeks so there is no false information and THAT makes the difference. (i did it myself.)
Just because it might make someone else insecure it doesnt mean that she isnt allowed to show off her body and lifestyle because girls like me that know how to comprehend with stuff like that actually enjoy her content and can grow and better themselfes with it.
All these tiktokers forget that cloe is not just "one of these big youtubers"but she is a human with feelings and getting accused of so many false things including hurting people mentaly knowingly is a VERY hard accusation.
I have done cloe ting workout for OVER 4 years and i'm only 16 and thats how i know that cloe tells the viewers in almost EVERY workout video to take longer breaks if they need it and to stop if they dont feel well so accusing her of for example making you over exerciseis just absolutely disgusting and hurtfull wich makes me feel really bad for cloe.
People really need to get up and stop bringing someone down just because they have different live standards as them.
    Period.

  20. I don't have a problem with her videos and I do think that most logical people will go into her challenges and think two things.

    1. This is not designed to transform my body overnight, but instead help me stay consistent and move closer to my goals

    2. When she mentions abs, glutes, etc. She isnt talking about reducing fat in that area, she is talking about exercises designed to specifically work that muscle group.

I think anyone whose done even a little bit of research prior to selecting a fitness routine would be aware of those 2 things and not expect a mircale. If people don't do enough research but have questions she does guide you to her website which doea have her FAQ section.

So while I do like your video and opinions, I still can't see where she has done anything wrong here.

  21. If you click in a "get abs in two weeks" and get mad that you, in fact do not get those abs in two weeks, you are the problem… I mean, don't we have critical thinking skills? And i also dont understand the whole EDs thing so focused on her bc "she focuses so much in her body instead of in being healthy". Have you seen the plant-based/vegan influencers? They supposedly do focus on "health and listening to your body" yet I've never seen such a toxic follower base (and so full of people with EDs or recovering from them)… "Healthy lifestyle influencers" are… A mess. But you are suposed to disengage with people that triggers you, nobody is forcing you nor is supposed to make sure you take intelligent choices over your social media…😅

  22. I – like many others – did Chloe’s workouts over lockdown. She popped back up in my feed over the Christmas holiday and I suddenly noticed how she seems to be quite concerned with physical appearance as opposed to health and strength.

There are still a few of her videos that I’ll probably do on active recovery days because I enjoyed them and haven’t done them in years, but I was surprised how much I completely missed the physical appearance thing the first time around.

PS – that airdrop sound really confused me, i was looking for something to pop up on my screen 🤣

  23. I finally figured it out: it's because she doesn't even do her own workouts. She doesn't sweat, she doesn't even breathe hard. Her muscle control is so terrible she literally wobbles like a newborn couch potato while she watches jenny craig video offscreen. She switches camera angles every 10 seconds to hide the copious number of breaks between and within sets. Her waist/butt ratio looks like a liposuction job. How does she stay thin? By eating like a bird, as most amateur models do. In other words, she's fake AF, way beyond the clickbait that's characterized this industry over the last 30 years.

  24. I'd love to see you review Inc Dance Fit. I've been doing their workouts for a while, but I can not find a single reaction video or review, and their videos are so different from anything else I've found.

  25. But she has always made it clear that the clickbaity titles are only so people click on them and it takes time to see results and diet and exercise go hand in hand.. plus her workouts are mostly targeted towards beginners
