  1. The one year my dad coached my team, I got a little LESS ice time than I should have because my dad didn’t want to look like he was playing favourites. But I understood the deal because favouring your own kid was so common among other hockey coaches, including several coaches I played for.

  2. I remember this one baseball coach… Didnt like me much but my dad and I disliked him more. Lol. He was a terrible coach. He was obsessed with pitching and even more obsessed with Greg Maddux and circle change ups. "Practice" wss the whole team doing pitching practice. "Everyones a pitcher!" Mostly practicing circle changeups. I already had tendinitis in my arm so I just stopped going to practice halfway through the season. I was by far the best hitter on the team though so he would never bench me. But to punish me he would bat me like 7th. God I went off that season though. No pressure. Hit like .650 and had almost half again as many doubles as at bats. Would go 4-4 and would miss practice all week and now Id be batting 8th.

  3. Our teams "coaches kid" thinks he's the best but he can't hold the puck lmfao. He thinks he's the fastest when I'm on the worst line, skating faster then him, shooting better shots lmfao. Last game we lost we were up 6-4 with abt 40 seconds left and the coach threw out his kid for the last bit. Well we ended up loosing in OT 6-7 lmfao

  4. My dad was a baseball coach I’d be getting yelled at after every game and practice I did bad then when I did good all I got was you could have done this or that so it sucks when he pushes you to be the best but get the worst

  5. Reminds me of my last year of AA the coach made his son and our assistant head coaches son the assistant captains one was the goalie and they both weren’t friend with the team or talked with us. They didn’t deserve nor earn the As or the ice time

  6. I was blessed to never have to deal with this. My coach’s son was goalie and our other goalie was clearly the starter calibre. Coach never overplayed his son in net, he would even pull his son if he let in too many quick goals.

  7. My dad was my coach and he was always so afraid of people thinking he was like this that he rode me twice as hard as all the other kids. Im glad, it made me tougher and a better player. Thanks dad ❤

  8. I really hate when coaches sons play and they always gotta be bad and make us sell especially in sports like football cause it always makes us sell like one time the coaches daughter was on the team and she was the starting running back and so we averaged 8 yards a game like we got more yards on defense than offense when we ran no joke and another time the coaches son was of course the qb when he shoulda been a line men and he was just terrible I wanted to quit so bad sometimes
