"Willing to choke a dog to avoid consequences" is a strange way to put it. I mean, is he supposed to just let the dog rip his muscle apart? Saving his arm from serious trauma isn't "avoiding consequences". Running from the police and hiding is avoiding consequences. Plus, he didn't choke it, he held it in a headlock. For anyone talking about the lenient sentence: This is intentional. The legal industry is dependent on having as many violent criminals as possible out on the streets victimizing more people. Without the revolving door of repeat offenders, the judges, lawyers, police, and administrative staffers would be out of work. They want guys like this back out committing crimes. I've never understood why police put their lives on the line to do the bidding of these judges and politicians who intentionally flood the streets with these violent individuals. The police should be arresting the judges and politicians. But shutting up, falling in line, not questioning anything, and going along with it all to get a paycheck and pension is easier than doing what's right.
