It took a year to come to the conclusion that this was a justified shoot? Was the officer on leave that entire time? Good grief that’s one hell of a snail’s pace investigation for something pretty plainly obvious. Man has a weapon. Man aggressively approaches officers with the weapon drawn pointing it at the officers. Man defies orders to stop and drop the weapon multiple times. Officer waits until the man is within a few yards of him, continually giving the order until he is in immediate danger and fires his weapon at the aggressor until the aggressor is incapacitated and no more. Man is disarmed and medical treatment begun immediately. Done. It took me longer to write this than the length of the incident. I could’ve watched it multiple times in the time it took to review it in writing and come to the same conclusion every time. No, I don’t know what goes into an investigation but STILL a year seems like an inexcusably long time when this situation seemed to have no gray area.

The responsibility is on the driver to ensure everyone is wearing their seatbelt. You can’t just decide you want to ID someone and make up whatever reason you want.
