What is Astigmatism of the eye? If you have astigmatism then you know it can cause your vision to be blurry but what exactly is it?

  1. I have a pinhole glasses and when I purchased it 3 years ago I realized I have one (mild)

When I look on a branch wearing one. I see the real thickness of the branch

Without one it looks skinny. Shadows are also deeper blacks and detail of things farther away are better. The lines are merging in with the background so items and things make it look like they don't have a define OUTLINE

I hope this don't go any worse whatever this is. I am trying to change myself staying away from screens and artificial light

  2. I have astigmatism that effects my right eye, [recent eye prescription it’s within-4.00’s] my left eye is exactly perfect vision. 1.75.

when I see any streetlights lights it’s either vertical or horizontal. Depends on how tired I am.

  3. I feel like mine is weird, I have the lines stretching from lights (normal) but I also have 16/20 out of my left eye, but also 5/20 out of my right, upon my last eye test, which was only 2 months ago.

  4. Went to eye doctor to get new glasses again bc mine broke. He told me I have high Astigmatism and that my eyes weren’t round like a normal eyes shape, he said my eyes were shaped more like a football.

  5. You never mention a very common cause.
Sleeping on the side of your head. Some of us are just too skinny and sleeping on the side pushes on the eyeball and reshapes it.
