  1. Looking at your phone for hours while being near sighted results in you holding the phone close enough to see it without cheater glasses. That results in you really only using one eye to look at the screen, while the other drifts away and looks past the screen. Do this long enough each day, and you will develop double vision. Solution: get a tablet to watch your videos on if you are near sighted but don't wear cheater glasses like you should. Or wear the cheaters and make sure both eyes are on the screen and one is not looking past it.

  2. Question: i have diplopia if i opem both eyes but its too control it only happens when i want it e.g. i stare for a second also if i move my head a bit due to maybe natural effect of parallax i can now move both images i can move them in controlled way if i shut one eye one image gets removed also if i shut other eye the other image gets removed…this controlled by me also….secondly both images are equally real…also i can relase this diplopia when i release my focus so its voluntarily…

  3. Have poor sight and double vision horizontally and vertically. Been to many doctors, found different things, but at the end of the story my double vision is there to sstay it seems. Got some good optometrist now, but my glasses need to be adjusted regularly to keep up with the changes. My eyes keep chamging but don't seem to go back to where they came from. So frustrating. And it costs a pretty penny.

  4. I got Diplipia for a week now after eyelid ptosis surgery that I got at the hospital to help fix my eyelid that is blocking my view, mullerectomy that I did last week, exactly 7 days ago, my doctor's can't explain it. But then I also take antibiotic ointments and have a bandage lens that I'll have for 2 more weeks until my revisit, I guess my brain can't merge the two images. When I'm completely relaxed the images are pretty much merged, but when lifting the eyelid/eyebrow where I have the swelling and incision it get's worse and I can literally see my eye getting pulled up and outwards slightly, as if it's stuck, and when looking inward the lateral rectus muscle is really tense, so I guess it's a mechanical issue due to the swelling and inflammation in the eye socket and I just have to wait and see what happens when it's gone, but it might take a few weeks since I've done the internal incision on my eyelid, but it'll hopefully get better when the bandage lens is out and I don't need to use the thick blurry ointment. At the moment I'm getting used to only seeing properly with one eye…

  5. I started seeing double vision after wearing my glasses for about 6 months. I see a spectral image identical to the original object, i.e., above it. Will the damage go away if I remove the glasses? I think the measurements are incorrect. I will now replace the glasses in about 10 days.

  6. Thank you! Dr
    You are amazing.

Well explained. I had the prism lens for my right eye it didn't work I am going to try the patch my left eye to improve my vision on right side. My doctor said I should not use a patch. They want me to get surgery.
After hearing you I am going to use the patch could be a help for my vision.
Before thinking of getting any kind of eye surgery.

    Thanks again!

  7. a month ago i suddenly developed double vision… i practiced few exercises, quit screentime… but a week later i went to opthalmologist he suggested me about diabetes test.. after i was diagnosed type 2 diabetic.

  8. So I have astigmatism and I’m going to have an eye exam to see if I have intermittent exotropia which I think I do have it, can regular astigmatism prescription glasses help with intermittent exotropia too

  9. Initially I had two visions in my eyes but it gradually became six. The doctor said my eyes are watering. I have taken medicine but it is not helping. My MRI and MRV reports are good.

  10. Yes I have double vision. I noticed a depth perception issue almost a year ago and finally got an mri. There is something there. I’m trying to see a neurologist but the appointment is 6 months from now.

  11. I have weakness in my right eye muscle. They have no idea what is causing it. Do you have any ideas? It’s not my thyroid and I often have numbness in my cheek and upward on the right side. Also my right eye is wider open then left. What do you think is happening?

  12. I know this is an old video, but………
I have nearsightedness with a bit of farsightedness (need bifocals now)
My eye doctor a few years ago diagnosed me with double vision. My cause not listed in your video. She said it's congenital fourth nerve palsy.
It's a constant sort of drop shadow I see of everything. It mixes with my nearsightenedness, so I didn't know I had it until she ran some extensive tests.

  13. I met an accident me left eyelid tear so the doctors operate it, past 25 days my one eye closed now left eye is little bit open but I see any objects in double vision, it can by rectify or not

  14. I am healed now after going through 3 weeks of HYDROCORTISONE TABLETS therapy, my diplopia is completely gone. You may want to go to your Medical Doctor and see if he or she thinks Steroid therapy could help you too. A prescription is required.

  15. I am 78 – and have been having double vision in the late afternoons. I have also had a few spells of having trouble swallowing. I go to the Doctor in 2 weeks. I notice the double vision when watching TV in the afternoon or evening (I don't know why , but I just passed it off as my TV being too close – (why I thought that would only happen sometimes, does not make sense). Also I usually go places I need to go in the morning. But I teach psychology part-time and have an afternoon class. Driving to and from campus, I notice double vision while driving. That is what really got my attention. I don't have double vision while in class. I need to be focused on something at a distance for the double vision to occur (like driving or TV)

  16. Thyroid is affected downward by calorie restriction (dieting). Since many people are now convinced dieting is good for you, probably more people are doing it than before leading to more thyroid prescription.

As for natural hyperthyroidism, hyperthyroid people are thinner so maybe they breed more often since thin is in.
