  1. I greatly appreciate this detailed analysis from someone who doesn’t make fight content. In fact, that will make you even more objective about this fight.

I completely agree with you. I think it’ was a fixed outcome but with an open script. It’s like when sparring in the gym, both fighters will agree on how hard they will spar ie: light sparring, 50% strength, full sparring, etc. Although that concept is still subjective, it tries to manage the intent and expectation of how that sparring session will go.

To further support that notion, there were moments that almost stray from the desired outcome and both Jake and Mike had to reset. One was in the 2nd or 3rd round when Mike got caught and wobbled, it took him the rest of the round and even the next round to recover. And as a result you can see both fighters let off the gas, which caused the inaction. Conversely, in the earlier rounds, there were definitely times where Mike pulled his punches. It is such a Tyson move to weave and follow with a leaping hook or jab, a move that he had success at first, but then later he stopped short of the punch because it worked too well.

I didn’t like the fight, but if it was not pre determined, we could’ve gotten what a repeat of Evander Holyfield vs Victor Belfort. That said, Jake Paul fights are all a farce and I personally won’t go into his “fights” with any emotional attachment.

  2. If I was a billionaire I would have told Mike Tyson he'll get 20 million if he knocks Jake Paul out in the first round then maybe we would have saw a real fight we didn't see the beast come out we saw a pigeon flapping his f**** wings

  3. It wasn't a boxing match, it wasn't a YouTube collaboration. It was a scam and Paul made one of the biggest legends in boxing complicit.
Mike sure doesn't care about legacy anymore, indeed.

  4. Mike is 58 years old.. Jake is 28. I was thinking that Mike was lucky to survive at his age. He is strong, but fighting against a fighter at half his age is pretty stupid if you ask me. If it was staged, i think Mike would have won.

  5. This was a fantastic breakdown of everything. Really appreciate this. This fight was Entertainment and nothing more. Worked out best for both, maybe tarnished a legacy a little. What about the slap at press conference. That seemed like the only thing that was real. A flash of who mike really was and who he keeps a lid on.

  6. I agree its staged. Everyone does. Mikes answer about legacy was easily the biggest giveaway other than him fighting against his muscle memory but trashtalk is common in combat sports before fights to promote but theres a respect and bond that forms after the fight is over so jake being respectful afterwards is nothing suspicious. Also theres 5 different turnouts.. a draw. But rare and idk the scoring system here. Not that its important in your analysis but when can u say u corrected a mentalist 😂 btw.. i cant actually say mike was pulling punches. I want to believe that but im not a 58 yr old thats recovering from a health issue like that so idk. It could hurt his chest or stomach to throw power punches

  7. That's actually what happened…. Tyson took the money… Jake would have been knocked out if it wasn't a deal fight… As you're saying it was just for the views…. Like click bait…..i was disappointed that Mike actually accepted this…. But I do accept it as he is putting food on the table for his family….(only cause it's mike tyson) . Disappointed but accepteble… It was designed to get the money out of people….

  8. Mike Tyson "didnt try at all to win that fight" but seriously he won himself another $30 million to spar with that premodonna Jake Paul,~ Jake Paul just totally reminded me of Sponge Bob singing along with Hansen *smh just wanna throw a bowl of spegetti os in the air & forget about it all at once the guy is a terrible actor

  9. I’ve “Hate Watched” a lot of the Paul Brothers and you’re Spot On Spidey!!
One thing I do want to point out was Logan at the back, looking weasely & spraying something stinky around and purposefully knocking Jake’s hat off with the can (alluding to their “got ur hat” joke) and then seeing Mike Tyson almost stoop to pick it up for him….
Busy scene packed with interesting observations!!!

  10. I thought the change of heart in the interview after the fight, praising Tyson and everyone else, could be him discovering that it was a lot harder than he thought, and Tyson being stronger than he thought. I’m late to the party. I have been pretty much bing-watching your channel since I discovered it a few weeks ago. I love that you are so passionate and objective ❤️

  11. No wag can you convince me that this was not staged. So sad that Mike traded his dignity for a Payday.

But that is the world we live in. I shouldn't be surprised.

  12. I think the problem is people were dumb enough to think this was going to be a real fight in the first place. If you look at Jake Paul's fights as a whole. It's all a publicity stunt. I honestly think he had one fight where he actually got under the skin of a boxer in tommy fury and he failed. The Mike Tyson training wasn't the Mike Tyson in the ring.

  13. About the glove biting, I have been a fan of Mike Tyson since he came on the scene, and have recently gone back and watched some old footage, and Mike never had a biting fixation as he said. I thought it was weird in the Paul "fight" and I still feel that way.
