  1. That's probably the best Tyson video I have ever seen. I have boxed and my life was boxing before I got messed over y my coach. I watched alot of boxing, studied it alot. And i hardly ever hear good, accurate assessments and commentary. I am 50 now so i have watched and listened to probably close to 60,000 hours of boxing related material, and think this was very well done.

  2. Think a fight with Muhammed Ali vrses Tyson at the time, both was in their best shape.. I think Tyson would win that fight in 4 orth round with TKO..
If Tyson miss to do that, then Muhammed Ali, would win that fight on point

  3. All I'm going to say is this:

EVERYONE. And I mean EVERYONE! Everyone ALWAYS forgets we didn't see Tyson fight between age 25 and 29 while he was in prison.

Lol it's just hilarious NOBODY ever talks about how we lost his prime years to prison. Lol it's like people have amnesia. NOBODY ever mentions it!

We literally missed half of his prime. We have no idea what he could have done those years.

  4. He was not unbeatable. I mean, he was beaten by Buster Douglas. But he wad a bit rusty and wasn't taking training seriously, that's why he lost. But it still counts as him being in his prime. Just not him being in his best condition.

  5. Tony Tucker and Buster Douglas were the best 2 opponents Mike fought prior to going to prison. Tony Tucker had a broken right hand against Mike, otherwise Tucker would have beaten Mike in 1987. Mike faced a Buster Douglas who was in the prime phase of his career, having won his previous 6 fights which included very dominant points wins over Trevor Berbick and Oliver McCall. Buster was feeling really good both physically and mentally that morning in Toko when he kicked 23 year old Mike's ass.

  7. I argue that we never got prime tyson.cus' death, and then his ego got in the way and he sacked kevin rooney..but even saying that, the tyson we had from 86-90 who could go 12 rounds?i'd put him up against anybody..

  8. He was definitely invincible with his manager and trainer, Team J. Jakobs, and Kevin Rooney; no one can say otherwise! Holyfield was only a cruiserweight at the time, and Lewis was still an amateur boxer; neither would have had a chance against Tyson between 85 and 88!

  10. Yes he was Lennox would have beaten him at any point in their careers and every time Tyson fought a world level opponent in their prime he lost but I still loved watching him

  11. Easily
Ge just fought in a vary weak era and don king made even easier for him by avoiding top challenges
That's muke stuck whit don king…despite knowing what a animal don king really is

  12. Cus and Don king happened to Mike. It's really sad. Cus didn't teach him for the king term and Don just wanted to use him and sucked him dry. Once Cus died, Tyson lost a lot of his discipline and technique. Cus failed him. Don used him. He could've been the best ever.

  13. Nobody is unbeatable you fool. But that you try to put down an 18 year old kid who was beating down big talented fighters that would beat any champ today. His opponents were legit.Tony Tucker, Spinks, Bruno Razor Ruddock. Just those guys alone would beat any Heavyweight today. He turns 20 becomes champ and around 23 he stopped doing the true peekaboo style and thats when he lost his greatness and started just walking straight in trying to 1 punch his way out of a fight. Mike beat Mike and anyone who thinks he didn't fight talented fighters does not know boxing.

  14. Tyson isn’t in my top 30 heavyweights. He never beat any legit hof’s in their prime, got folded by a glamorized journeyman named Douglas and outclassed by Holyfield and Lewis. He also chose to squander so much of his talent in favor of self indulgence that he ended up making a mockery of the sport. That too caused him to fall on my list quite a few spots.

  15. mike tyson at his prime was very good. he is very strong, but his discpline was his strongest asset. he used his skills the best at arm's range. but I'm not a boxing expert. just my 2 cents

  16. The difference between Tyson and a lot of other great fighters who lost a lot of fights towards the end of their careers was that Tyson was largely responsible for his own decline. You can't blame someone for getting old and slowing down, but if you're a shadow of yourself by your early 30s that's not father time that's a lack of discipline (or injury in certain cases).

Some fighters lack the physical tools to be great, others lack the technical skills, and Mike was lacking mentally. We don't make excuses for people who lack one of those first two things, so why make excuses for Mike's inability to stay disciplined?
