Why are all in one headsets cheaper than PCVR when they do more? Why isn't there a cheap PCVR headset?
This video is out of date. Most of the headsets have been discontinued with the Quest 3, Valve Index, Bigscreen Beyond and Pimax headsets being the only one's still receiving support. Microsoft's Mixed Reality has been completely removed from the Windows operating system yet this is never discussed. If you are seriously considering these please do your research, this video is not enough and excludes information. This is likely to farm the Amazon affiliate links

These things are supposed to replace computer monitors someday, but the problem is, they are more expensive than most computer monitors right now. You can buy a 4k gaming monitor with a 120hz refresh rate for $400 US. Or get the same quality in a VR headset for $600-$1,400… I can buy a Samsung Odyssey 49" OLED curved monitor for $999 US to sit at my desk and have a full frame of view. Seems like a waste of money until they lower the price

I found out stand alone are shit and die to fast. I need a hard wired one.
If want a highend VR experience that wont break the bank then PSVR2 and PS5 is a no brainer.

So, a year later I would not recommend the quest 2 for anyone anymore. Not even on the cheap. I have one and they have been forced updating the software into a worse state. At this point, I don't know if I will ever get another meta devices again.
BRUH. Whenever I encounter an Index user, I kick them from my world because of how dreadful the entire thing is. Theres no WAY people can recommend it at all.
Those phone headsets are very popular for FPV flyers where they get the video stream on the phone. (place phone in headset vs mounted on the controller) they are not useless.
