  1. i dk if anyone's answered already or not but, that'd just be a simple slide, maybe with a sound effect from the pedal. when you go down fret by fret without lifting your finger, it's called a slide. It'd be like a vocal run, is the best way to compare it. but again, likely had a pedal on to give it a slight effect sound

For the guitar, it’s also an interesting aspect to his work because he’s using an open C tuning, where the base note is 4 half steps lower than normal (E), so when he hits that base drop that caught you off-guard, it’s going from the F major dominance of the song to the Major 3rd but inverted, so it harmonically resonates still in the Major key wonderfully. I think most of his stuff is in open C (C G C G C E from low to high strings). Guitar is normally E A D G B E.
