The political will is there they want to be involved with everything especially our health . They will put the very same/more money and effort into D as MRNA vaxines to fight this diabetic pandemic!!! Front page news is expect tomorrow right with speeches from public health and all the politicians..Can't wait to see and hear their support and investments and 100% continuity of action for this major finding and health care and public health miracle!! Oh boy this will be fantastic!!! I just love how the media the politicians and healthcare are so consistent and thoughtful about public health!. They truely are amazing, the best , what would we do without them??? God bless them all!
My sister was diabetic type one her whole life from age 2 till death at 70 from cancer. What you are saying is not true except maybe about vitamin D. I worked in medical laboratories and certainly 11 % of Americans are not Diabetic . .maybe closer to 5% or less. Also if you control your blood sugar you won't have the side effects of blindness kidney failure heart attack etc etc
Thank you, Dr. Campbell . Since I heard this video, I have been taking vitamin D3 and K2 and real cod liver oil in a green bottle every day. Lost 90 pounds. I am no spring chicken, but am walking for 1 or more hours on a ramp outdoors twice a day. We have to fight hard to take care of our life and health, which our loving Creator gave us! You are loved by so many!
I've had uncontrolled diabetes for at least 3 years (diagnosed due to hospitalization from burst appendix in 2022) but I'm pretty sure I've been diabetic for at least 15 years, because that's when I started gaining weight so fast (ten pounds a month). I leveled off at 289 and that's where I was when I went into the hospital. I have to drink water constantly to keep from being dehydrated, going to the bathroom every hour during sleep periods, and having symptoms of DKA, mainly losing weight without intention and extreme muscle weakness and fatigue to the point where I haven't been able to take a shower or clean my house in the last two years and I make a lot of noise trying to get up out of bed. The only habits I've changed is I'm sleeping more, so I suppose I'm eating less since I'm sleeping about 18 hours a day now. The reason I don't go to the doctor (besides the fact that I'm too weak to sit up in a chair and wait for them to call me in and I have to use the bathroom an inconvenient number of times plus the last time I was so tired I laid down in a waiting room the doctor yelled at me and told me I was not to come back to her office again) is because back in the day when I was going to doctors, they took me off the medication that helped me with my phobia/anxiety, I tried for years to get them to put me back on it but they just insisted on trying new medications, none of which worked and then covid happened, they stopped letting me come in to see them and so l lost the ability to leave the house. Unfortunately, doctors don't make house calls any more, so I expect to expire shortly. It sounds cruel, but it's what I've come to expect from doctors being done badly by them my whole life and the lives of my children, which they never helped nor listened to me then either. You're the only doctor I like.
I honestly don't understand why an A1C.Test is not part of every yearly physical. It's an actual crime that most people will have diabetes for 7 years before even finding out that they have it. especially if you go to the doctor every year, why aren't they catching this because we don't make that part of the standard test and it should be you check my blood pressure. Why don't you check my A1C? Like you said it's a simple finger prick.
This is responsible reporting. As a diabetic, I'm grateful for this information. I have been taking vitamin D for a long time. It is truly a remarkable fact to note. I have always recommend it
The problem is we eat too much junk food. We eat too much fruits and we eat too much vegetables. That’s all carb carbs converted to sugar very fast and you add all the junk food and all the fruits and you quadruple the problem vitamin D yes, we need it too.
Intermittent fasting works 18hrs. no food, just water tea or coffee with no milk or sugar (calories) leaving a 6 hour eating window to lower insulin. Less sugar and carbs one or 2 meals a day. Just do it for 5 days a week. It's the best thing for healt. You'll lose weight, stops inflammation, diabetes and lots more health benifits. All the best. Thanks John. 👍
Type 1 diabetes is not a disorder of the pancreas. It is a disorder of the immune system that produces anti-ilet cell antibodies, which destroy the cells that produce insulin in the pancreas. This results in the complete cessation of insulin production. Type 1 diabetes can only be treated by insulin injections . As opposed to type II diabetes which is cased by insulin resistance due to a receptor abnormality, which is compounded by obesity. With obesity you have more receptors (FAT) per insulin molecule resulting in insulin being unable to get sugar from the bloodstream into cells . This results in elevated serum blood sugar, which can be combated by losing weight and other non- insulin medication. However, with type 2 diabetes, due to high levels of insulin production by the pancreas, after over several years (usually around 10) the pancreas burns out and is unable to produce insulin at which point insulin shots are required for type 2 diabetes control. Not sure which of the three types of diabetes we're talking about, I'll listen to the rest and see what you mention. But it's quite intriguing to me that 11% of USicans have diabetes and only 7% in the UK have diabetes. UK has always been known as being the highest consumers of sugar, but this could depend on the types of sugars. In the US we use far less desirable types.
I had an HA 3 years ago followed by 2 small strokes. Since that times I have discussed my various drugs intake. When I have mentioned D+K the doctors show absolutely no interest. I might get more if I told them I drink pop.
10,000 Iu + K2 mk7 200 mcg. Magnesium Glycinate. Zinc and Copper is my poison. And haven't had a cold even for over 5 years. Touch wood. 80 YO now. Always had a BP of 140/80 and pulse of 60. Best iv'e ever felt. Doesn't fix my bad back however.
Hi Dr Campbell, Nice to emeet you, my name is Mike, I live in the USA in the DFW area.
I just learned of you and have consumed some of your videos on diabetes. I suffer from the T1D disease. I am always looking for ways to take less medication while maintaining a normal A1C, almost impossible, as I’m sure you know.
I asked grok, our new AI friend that has the ability to summarize large datasets quickly, about ways to regenerate beta cells and stimulate the insulin receptors you spoke about.
Grok came back with some promising topics around drug induced proliferation, transdifferentiation, and stem cell therapies for T1D.
Of course it came back with a lot more information but I want to keep the comment short 😊
My question for you is, since you are very well versed in this autoimmune disease, are you planing to do a talk sometime in the near future on the topics I mentioned? Beta regeneration specifically and insulin receptor stimulation.
I've always enjoyed your show and considering you one among the straight shooters. By and large over here in the memerica it's almost to the point that if a doctor tells you don't eat bacon you should immediately go out and eat a slab of bacon. I've been mostly carnivore for the last 2 years I'm doing very well for someone that avoids doctors because I just plain old don't trust them save a few. The first time I supplemented with vitamin d about a week in I noticed that a pain that had hurt me in my side was gone. It's a miserable ass world we live in if you can't make a buck off it then it don't exist or it's illegal

I'm sure I'm prediabetic. However, intermittent fasting with med style diet has been a god send for just managing my weight and metabolic health.
How I wish this info had been available when I was 30.

10000 units of Vitamin D q d, asgwagada is better absorbed it
Question really then is how much per day then….

Does it help those who already have diabetes too.
Thanks again, DOC

Did you say eat more fruits? Did you know what apple contains the same amount of sugar as a can of Coca-Cola?
70% of Americans are obese.😱
Related to all the processed foods consumed by Americans. Big pharmacy doesn't want them to know. Healthcare is too expensive for many people.👈😰

These seem to be results for pre diabetes, Would I expect similar results if I am already diagnosed as diabetic?
They do not care for the patients even those who work at clinics are the worst in northern countries.
good

Never had a vitamin D test, but take 5000 IU daily with my fatty breakfast.
Vitamin D3 is now 3 times the price in our stores, from $6 to $17.50 for the same brand/size bottle….not cheap anymore.
Diabetic patients contribute in running the economy… it's a business of inflation control…
Thanks!
You are a gem Thank you
I had an HA 3 years ago followed by 2 small strokes. Since that times I have discussed my various drugs intake. When I have mentioned D+K the doctors show absolutely no interest. I might get more if I told them I drink pop.
Here in the US my primary doctor orders vitamin D levels with blood tests regularly
