What exactly are we unlocking? Are we actually learning how to improve our grip? For me it sounds like this clip/magnus is only listing different kind of grip positions. Hate these fake titles
There are quite a few types of hand/finger strength, and avid climbers are good at all of them. Pinch strength, crimp strength, lock out strength, open hand strength on slopers, individual finger strength for pockets. Body builders, power lifters, and strongmen often have great strength in one or two of these, but if you test in all of them, especially combined with endurance, a climber wins out every time. Climbers are just training all types of hand/finger strength always.

I've seen them try an 'actively squeeze 'a grip tester, and they reach insane amounts.
