An officer has their right to be prepared in case driver is gonna snap. Perhaps, at night, in a large vehicle, may be best to offer visual of hands then cop would likely ease a bit on gun.
This officer has a lot of self control and patience, but talking about how one race of people get shot more than black people, is pretty ignorant and unprofessional. Otherwise, this officer kept his cool and stayed professional.

Countries that police do not carry a weapon on them at all times also have strict gun laws and very low gun crimes. The backwards gun laws in the USA mean that every suspect could potentially be armed.
