  1. 7sets of 4-5reps (five at the very most) on the bench, three times a week, has absolutely blown up my chest and strength. Plug absolutely have to be resting for a perfect 8 hours each night and eating right, to do this and recover, though.

  2. Dont only stick in the low rep range, mixing in some higher reps with slow and controlled form, (pausing at the bottom, slow during the eccentric) 8-12 reps, will help you build up the muscles used for bench press and contribute to better form during that 5×5. Also make sure to get your back super strong!

  3. I have on tip. Go to the gym…i mean go to the gym. Spend time benchihg. Everything takes patience. Any tips thaf promose "skyrocketing in no time l" is false. Put in work. 1 year 2 years 3 years. Put in work. 225 aint sht.

  4. I bench 335, and the most important advice i can give is sleep. You need at least 8 hours of rest to recover and to be at 100% strength. If your sleep is low, you risk injury and your recovery will suck.

  5. Alright so find a weight that I can do 5×5 but also be able to pause? The weird about my body is that If I bench lower than usual, my stremgth goes down
For example, I do 200 for 5 reps but if I practice 185 for 5×5 with pause reps. For some teason when I try 200lbs I literally wont be able to

  6. I'm 150lbs, bench 225 and am working my way to 300lbs(hopefully) been doing these tips since i got back into the gym after several years of being lazy.
That stretch at the bottom gives a crazy stretch to the pecs.
