  1. Ed Humphrey better have sued the shit out of Florida for violating his federal and state constitutional protection against excessive bail. They set his bail at $1 million for a domestic assault because they suspected him of the murders and wanted to keep him in jail. That is blatantly illegal in the first place because of the 8th amendment of the Constitution and the same protection is in the state constitution of Florida. So they illegally kept him in jail for 10 months due to an illegally excessive bail amount and then it turned out he was innocent of the murders they were investigating him for. So they cheated him and illegally kept him in jail for almost a year all for nothing.

  2. What in the hell was Tracy thinking, running into her bedroom while the killer was stabbing Manny?!?! Why would she not run out the front door? It makes zero goddamn sense. She had just gotten out of the shower so maybe she was naked or just in a towel or underwear or something but who gives a shit?!? It’s just the dumbest possible decision. What in the world made her think to run to her bedroom and lock herself in? I’m sure she was in a panic (who wouldn’t be?) but it’s still a pretty common basic instinct to run away, not run deeper into a situation and lock yourself in. It’s just so frustrating because I feel like she had a decent chance to save herself and live.

Just finished the video and wanted to add another thought about poor Tracy. After hearing about the first several attacks and knowing that he hasn’t left anyone alive, why would she consent to being tied up/duct taped? She knew he was going to kill her so why not fight to the death right then and give yourself at least a small chance? Because once you are restrained it’s over, there’s nothing you can do. I guess the desperation could make you pretty irrational and you desperately want to believe that maybe those other people did something wrong and that’s why he killed them but that if you do things exactly right, just like he tells you to do, he might let you live. Logically it makes no sense but I would assume desperation can make you grasp at any glimmer of hope no matter how fleeting and elusive it may be.

  3. That’s really crazy that they can arrest you on a minor charge and then set your bail 100 times higher than it would usually be so they can keep you in jail while they investigate you for a major charge. That is a direct violation of the 8th Amendment of the Constitution which protects citizens against the government imposing excessive bail, excessive fines and cruel and unusual punishment. If you want to argue that the Constitution is federal law and murder is a state offense, that’s fine but the Florida Constitution provides the exact same protections. In both cases excessive bail is defined as any amount exceeding what is required to ensure the defendant appears in court on the assigned date to face the charge. He was arrested for a domestic dispute/assault so the bail amount, by law, would have to be in line with standard bail amounts for the same charge. This protection against excessive bail has been included in the Florida Constitution since 1838. So I truly don’t understand how they got away with imposing that $1million bail on the kid for a domestic assault. That’s crazy. If he turns out to be innocent he should have sued. If they were to charge him with the murders I have a feeling a good defense attorney could create some issues for the prosecution based on that ridiculous bail amount so that they could illegally keep him locked up while they investigated him for the murders.

  4. My mom worked with Danny at ponchos Mexican restaurant in Louisiana. They both closed the restaurant alone many times and he would always invite her back to his house to listen to him play guitar. Thank God she always said no.

  5. That college kid Ed behind bars for 10 months and a million dollar bond is kinda crazy. I get why they did it at first when investigating but they really just held him as an afterthought until the actual killer said Ed had nothing to do with the murders. I guess don't don't be punching granny in the face or be acting so sus all your classmates tell the police like yeah, it's gotta be him 😂 I am curious as to why his face is all scarred up like that tho

  6. Society started going to hell-o around in the mid 80s and on. Instead of removing violent offenders, they were released or reduced sentence. Now it is a freaki g joke . And what wasn't important ar the time was just put aside which could have caught the guy quicker.

  7. Was it really necessary to imagine the details of the bondage and rape scenarios? Perhaps leave it at, "she was sexually assaulted. " It's bad enough these poor young women went through that, but to relay the intimate details of their humiliating, terrifying last moments (whether real or imagined) in the guise of storytelling is just wrong. I've watched your channel since year 1, and I so love your storytelling. And I know that rape stories fall under the "dark" label. I just wish you would respect the victims enough to not use the sexual details of their tragedies as entertainment.

  8. " he just looked like a serial killer look like" LMFAO @ the statement of this, but complete oblivious obvious truth & or any statement continued after it. That points out what a serial killer has the highest possibility of looking like, proven by professionals themselves through research. That is a real life example in this story showing that when we imagine the image of a serial killer most ppl think of the image the associate of appearance that comes to mind immediately thinking about the looks of a serial killer as being a white man.
Typically ranging from 18-45 as being a serial killer with having the looks of somebody who could be suffering from physical illness. Mental illness or and I'm only mentioning this separately from mental illness. Because people don't realize it is officially considered mental illness and diagnosed acknowledged by a professionals as a health disability including the.
Official criteria to diagnose it in the DSM5 & it's also a proven public health issue that isn't being dealt with properly by our government with criminalization.
Of actions and materials related to substance use people. Picture a drug user. A person suffering from stressful mental health trauma or a person who is severely struggling just to survive because of physical illness when they picture any additional features of a serial killer. Besides, the one that is how a serial killer always usually ends up. Looking, which is a white male cool. Of course, hold the most freedom power respect and mobility vertically in society, allowing them to get away with murder.
Jeffrey Dahmer, for example, talk to police out of believing 18 age boy. He had kidnapped drugged sexually assaulted and would end up murdering because police believed him when he told them it was his boyfriend. His lover who was just drunk and he did TikTok back in the house for a nap. And he didn't know what he was talking about. Even though it was obvious the boy was a minor and Jeffrey, Dahmer was committing a crime. If in fact, as he told police, it was his lover, his boyfriend just delusional babbling he was the committee. The crime of statutory rape because the boy was under age.
Not allowing him legal ability in the eyes of the law to consent, yet they just waved a pass. And it resulted in the boy being eaten after murdered. Probably because he was brown as well and Jeffrey Dahmer. Even though I'll admit attractive, which helped Tim get away with it mainly. It's because he was a white dude.
Who held more respect and credibility with police. Then this brown boy who was his victim.
Because we don't have as much credibility and our dismissed. By police statistically systemically, this needs to stop it just increases the harm. And violence, we experience as people of color on a mass level in society. Wake up. serial killers statistically have the highest probability of having the looks.
    That R of.
Typical appearance and features of who…. * drum roll please*

  9. This story is one of my all time favorites. Not only because I’m a Scream fan but the story, the background music, and everything about it is just perfect. Thank you, MrBallen.

  10. I had to sign off after you started describing the crimes in detail. That's a bit much for me. We got the gist of it from the original description. The rest was unnecessary.
