  1. WTF!?! That is absolutely fucking ridiculous. I'd absolutely pirate their shit if I was actually using it. They obviously want to take people's work and sell it to AI companies.

Imagine how many people would've just clicked accept without reading, and then be surprised when they come across their work in an AI generation one day.

The fact you can't access your files until accepting is definitely extortion, and this ransomware at this point.

  2. I once subscribed to adobe temporarily because I wanted to make a video and I couldn't figure out how to use Blender. It was impossible to cancel my subscription later, I literally couldn't find a way to do it. So I blocked them from taking any more money off of my debit card until they canceled the subscription themselves.

Even Acrobat acts like a virus on your computer. It downloads gigabytes worth of "installers" and keeps them for no reason, and if you delete them it re-downloads them just to keep them there. I got rid of it and now use Foxit as my PDF reader.

  3. Professional working with adobe for editing here! They absolutely suck, their programs are all buggy messes. We still pay for it because we need multiple PC's with adobe software, and we are too locked in to switch editing suites.. but yeah fuck em and please just pirate their shit if you can, hope they go out of business so other competitors rise up (Without instantly being bought by Adobe)

  4. I'd email customer support with an immediate consent withdrawal for automatic payments and since I'm European also a GDPR request to delete all my personal info, calmly explaining I was unable to cancel the regular way because I do not agree to the terms they force me to agree to in order to get there. That way you set yourself up for success if you later need to charge back payments and set them up to get sued if they try to make your life difficult because of it.

  5. If you pirate, even though you're not agreeing to the terms of service, it's still likely the app will send them your data behind the scenes. The best choice is not pirating, but switching to their competition. Or even better, switching to open source.

  6. I would literally sue them because otherwise I would not be able to update my account without accepting which is not choice but forcing. Crazy company

  7. the fact that companies can just change the terms and the user can't have a choice of not accepting and keep using the app/game is outrageous … if i buy a car you cant just change your mind on what you sold remove the wheels and expect me to not want my money back paid in full lol.

  8. I tried Photoshop while in school and I have no idea who even uses that thing
Like somehow GIMP of all programs was better and easier to use than Photoshop, and that one is an uncooperative and nonsensical mess
And Krita compare to Photoshop is like a god tier software

  9. its not like people won't accept them, they need photoshop to live, what will they do ? find a real job instead of being a failed artist ? won't happen

  10. And you know what that allows them to do? Offer AI image generation "legally" because they can use all of the users art for the AI to learn.
Later when AI image creation gets lawered they will be one step ahead.

    Fuck'em.

  11. I had my subscription until june, now i won't renovate it, firs because it's expensive and secondly because they sould be paying me to use it instead of the opposite as they're forcing me to license my content to them
