  1. When I was in grade 5, living in Bangladesh, first time I heard her name in our Bengali literature book named Amar boi – bangla meaning my bengali book. Didn't understand Laika's value in space Science at that time. But, when grew up a question come to my head that why choosing an innocent animal? Just because it was a street strays dog, it doesn't mean it doesn't have right to live their life. We human are so selfish. We don't mind to kill an innocent dog just for scientific research.

  2. I’m crying because that looks just like my dog and whoever did this go to hell. You don’t deserve anything. The dog was terrified. And thought it was going home but no. So you guys have no reason to live a happy life. Like imagine just being put in a crate at least she thought. But getting sent at rapid rates and literally going through traumatizing heats.

  3. THATS SO MEAN THEY KILLED HER FOR SCIENCE SHE DIDNT DESERVE THIS FATE SHE WANTED A HOME NOT DEATH SHE WANTED LOVE NOT SPACE SHE SUFFERED SHE PROBABLY CRIED EVERY NIGHT IN HER SLEEP THAT SHE WOULDNT FIND A HOME SO U SENT HER TO SPACE THATS CRUEL RIP LAIKA U WILL BE MISSED U DIDNT DESERVE IT 😭😭😭😭

  4. One of the last photos of Laika, the first dog to be sent …
Laika was sent into space on November 3, 1957, aboard the Soviet Union's Sputnik 2 to determine if a living creature could survive a launch and orbit, providing crucial data for future human spaceflight. As a stray dog from Moscow, she was chosen for her resilience, small size, and calm demeanor to test the effects of microgravity and radiation.
