Considering the low budget they obviously had they managed to make a interesting story. It's a shame it didn't do better than it did.

Something that I've noticed since 2010 or so: It seems that most movies and series of this type are almost all dystopian. They're bleak, soulless things saying that "We have no future". Fewer and fewer shows with hope and heart to them; it's like we're being bludgeoned to death with negative messages, "black-pilling" I think it's called. When well written and acted, these can be compelling, but so many? And America and her people almost never survive; it's like the writers want us dead. How about something uplifting and well written for a change?
