Yeah but if micah was killed early in the game it would prevent red dead 1 because micah is basically what caused red dead 1 to happen since john killed him causing the pinkertons to get back on his tail because as you know micah was a very important guy to the agency since he gave the locations away and the gangs plans to attack the payroll train and after john killing him the pinkertons found out he was alive because in the credits after the epilogue in red dead 2 you can see them looking over at john so if micah wasn't saved by arthur it would prevent red dead 1 since micah is what caused it

So hear me out. Dutch met Micah before Blackwater, and everything went south for the gang from that point on. Micah is also the one who brought the ferry heist up to Dutch. What if Micah had always been a rat from the start and not after Guarma and has been setting up the gang up to either clear his bounty and / or work off his time. Until it all went south when Agent Milton was killed by Arthur and had to go on the run for the rest of his life.

I believe the theory that Abigail was a rat. Why? Because she was worried about her son. I believe there's logic in the arguement that she was ratting out on the gang and it's why John was captured alive whereas Hosea was shot in the street.
Nothing about Micah being the rat makes any sense.

I honestly think Micah is innocent and Abigail was the real rat but regardless Micah is one of the best video game villains for his time
