And then there's those "newbies" that cause havoc to us experienced players
The painful part? Me and a friend recently came back to it on PC. They discontinued Outlaw Pass: they couldn't even be bothered to welcome back old fans or bring in a volley of late-joiners by showing them the cool shit they missed out on. It's like, "Nope, sorry bucko, should've been around in 2020 for that hat and shirt you want."
They may be different games but at least Fortnite or the Finals or Marvel Rivals now at least gives you the option to see all the stuff you missed out on, and catch up with the rest of the community.

RDR is incredible if you're new. So much to earn and so much to do. I've maxed all the roles and have just about everything i could ever want. But i still pop in to play it cause it's a damn good game

Brutal. Engage at your won risk. But, fun, as you don't really lose anything, and you just get better, the more you do it. Well, you lose money, for ammunition replenishment, but that's it. Keep feeding Cripps skins and carcasses, and that's a 'non-issue'.

On this day, all RDR2 interactions are unavailable to players. PC players, at least.
It’s simple: Rockstar isn’t going to split their dev power between two live-service games when GTA Online prints money nonstop. RDO has way more overhead and way less return. And let’s be real—what were they supposed to add? HSW horses? Jetpack cowboys? The wild west setting just doesn’t scale like GTA’s modern sandbox. They made the right call dropping it. I’d rather have all hands on GTA VI than stretch them thin trying to make RDO work for a tiny niche. Sorry.

After 4 years I came back because now it's so easy to make a solo session on the PS5. I'm having fun grinding money and gold without griefers around.
Red Dead Online is cheaters heaven now, don't play it
Have avoided these types of games due to the cheating… I mean cmon’ if your role playing, why would you cheat? Thats the whole point of RPGs. Play as someone else in a different time and place. But seems that the best time to play these games is after the cheaters have gotten bored and moved on to something else. I’m definitely gonna try it. After I get my feet wet in the story mode first lol.

I hope R* give some good updates to this game after releasing GTA VI and they better expand their business establishing more studios so that they could focus on everything rather then completely abandoning one for the other, I don't really understand why they are not hiring more employees when there's a clear need! Gta VI got delayed because of rdr and now rdr got abandoned because of gta VI
Since this video, griefers have expanded. Griefer to non-griefer ratio is about 5 to 1 in my experience.
for me I believe its a great game I probley spend way to much time on the game, and I dont use mods, I dont like modders I wish they would not blow me up but Its still a great game you have a great day
I only play it offline with tons of mods that improves the game. It's way more fun!

Met my ex on this game…that's why I abandoned it lol (hated the griefers on Playstation but I liked meeting random people, now I just can't play it)
I understand why people find RDO boring and empty, but that’s what I like about it. It’s genuinely immersive. You can wander around and hunt without finding a single other player. You forget there are other players, that is until you stumble across them.
I’m hoping after gta 6 release we can get a skeleton crew working on new content for rdo but considering gta 6 is getting online I doubt it
