  1. Well, every state police and every state has the highways are so dangerous so why are they pulling people over on the highways and not taking them off the highway and follow them to the nearest exit because it’s some money grab it’s a cash cow

  2. Pretty terrible that so many truck drivers are in these comments blaming the officer for enforcing the law. Truck drivers really have gotten away with too much for too long, they've turned our roads into messes and they're so ready to point fingers elsewhere they can't even let an accident between 2 other parties be an accident.

  3. People who are blaming the woman as if she killed the officer intentionally, saying that “if you have epilepsy you shouldn’t drive” ok what about if accident happened after a tire blow up?? These are things that can happen to anyone, once there was a guy who almost cashed in his car after passing out on the wheel and turned out he had low blood sugar and he doesn’t even have diabetes, then what?? Ban everyone from driving just in case?

Be for real, and be more sensitive, this could have been you

  4. I don't think you'll see this comment… But I just gotta say… aside from the immense tragedy that you've carefully retold in this video… your video editing is absolutely AMAZING.

  5. In lieu of her family, family wants donations to go to the state police he worked and died for??? Hahahha I just find that mind-blowing…. honestly, why??? He lost his life working for a government agency that has enough money.. . And access to tax money. Abd resources… that money should be going to the children of the officer.

  6. As much as this video is sad, this is a business opportunity to start a senor company that is alert about incoming threats to warn officers. B2G, business to government.

  7. I'm from Europe and here cops never pull over vehicles right on the freeway like that. They drive in front of you and make you follow them, then get off at the next chance for the stop. I think that's way safer and should be implemented in the US as well.

  8. There has never been nor will there ever be a "tragic" death of a law-enforcement officer. Joyous, Giddy, Life Affirming, Vindicated, Well Deserved, etc., these are the terms I would use for it.

  9. Truck driver here. Basically we should always practice to keep the left lane clear regardless of legality. Most of us are governed by our company at 65. Some of us lucky few can hit 70. Even if you have your own setup with no governor, it's not like you can go shooting by at 80 with any reasonable level of safety. Just move over and let traffic flow

  10. I had a seizure while I was about to put my car in park and I had taken my seatbelt off just a second before the seizure. I ended up flooring the van and hitting a wall and now I am paraplegic. I am just thankful that I didn’t hurt anyone else

  11. This is very tragic. But I feel I need to comment on the left lane comments from the video. As a truck driver in Michigan myself, we sometimes get in the left lane for office safety. When they have someone pulled over and in the middle lane, we’ll hop to the left so right lane traffic has a place to go.

  12. I hate the cop lost his life. But thats the the worst place to do s traffic stop. Cops need to stop doing it on busy highways. Im a trucker of 22yrs. And ppl dont pay attention. They dont get over wont let us over. So its almost automatic a accident will happen

  13. After seeing this, I definitely think it would be a great idea to put up that safety system like Minnesota did. It should be a federal mandate to do this across the country. So deaths like Daniels can be prevented or at least give officers a chance to evade such tragidies. Prayers to the families of both victims 😢❤🙏

  14. As someone with a sister who has grand mal seizures often, she has her husband drive her places, even when she's on her medication. Anyone who has medical issues has the responsibility of being safe and not placing others in danger on the road. Too many people are willing to drive KNOWING they shouldn't and it is infuriating. If you're too old and can't see, too inexperienced and need more practice to drive or if you just have medical issues you know could hinder your ability to drive safely, please, for the sake of everyone else on the road who have families to get home to or children in the car, don't drive! 🤬

  15. I think that cop broke as soon as he saw the wreck. You need to be on the radio calling for fire and ems. Two victims. One is non responsive, one not breathing, no pulse, officer breathing, and pulse. Officer trapped in car. Need extraction tools. We may need a medevac. We need troopers directing traffic and shutting down right two lines for a mile back. But he was worried about his radio and telling people he didn't need help. His mind went into simple collision mode.

  16. Anyone else remember when law enforcement would angle their vehicle and its wheels toward the roadway? This is why. It's considered safer to have the vehicle forced into traffic rather than directly into the back of a stationary vehicle (especially if the stationary vehicle is a heavy truck)

  17. His family took him off life support and donated his organs within 2 days? Is that normal or typical for this type of situation? Seems like only 2 days in a coma, on life support, isn’t enough time to make a determination of such importance. Maybe it’s time to rethink my organ donation status with the DMV.

  18. Michigan's "Move Over Law" requires drivers to slow down and move to a lane at least one lane away from stationary authorized vehicles, including police cars, that have their flashing, rotating, or oscillating lights activated on the shoulder. If moving to an adjacent lane is not possible due to road or traffic conditions, drivers must reduce their speed to a safe level and proceed with due care 0:49

  19. Technically those trucks passing by 0:48 are following the law by traveling in the left lane being that there’s a traffic stop. On a two lane road i believe all traffic must slow down 10-15 below speed limit and carefully merge over and merge back over after passing the shoulder.. its not clear rather they merge back over so id say using the another truck doing the same thing in my opinion wouldnt apply here.. then again im unfamiliar with there rules regulations with stopped vehicle on two lane road
