  1. The same year a mentally ill man man dressed in a shoddy homemade clown costume allegedly absconded from a St Mary’s hospital and was apparently wrestled to the ground on marshland near Sandown airfield by police after he’d been seen lurking around Broadleaf Primary school on stilts….i wonder if this has anything to do with the incident?

  2. Not a ghost.. Like a ghost. This to me means spirit, maybe fae or even a demon. Seen when wanted to be seen, connected to mysterious lights and sounds. UFO phenomenon closely mirrors what many throughout history have attributed to encounters with the fae. A mystery indeed.

  3. Half my family comes from the Isle of Wight and although I was born and raised in Germany we spent every holiday on the island. In the summer we were regularly at Compton Bay to swim. Even as a child in the 70s, I was fascinated by the ghost stories of the island. I still have Gay Steedman's first book and I have all the other books of her too. My mother often read us from it as children. There are so many beautifully spooky stories from the Isle of Wight.

  4. The first time i heard about this case i didn't know what to think, and i still dont lol, of all the strange paranormal encounters I've heard about over the years that people have had whether it be aliens ,cryptids or ghosts this has to be up there with the most bizarre and baffling. Great channel by the way ive only just discovered it and glad i did and im looking forward to watching the rest of your content and the fact you dont use an Ai voice to do the narration is very pleasing too .👍

  5. And yet here I am, listening to this after I’ve told myself many times, just no!

Miss your voice… so yep. Here I am, listening to some creepy clown story. Happy new year from across the pond my friend! 😊🎊

  6. Thank you! I have heard this story before, but you are the first commentator to note the same things I did.

I was about that exact age at that time. If I had been trying to interact with a child then, I would have likely seen television. I would recognize that clowns were a familiar childhood trope, like circuses. I would know from media and advertising that food and drink and eating were of primary daily concern, and a routine activity. A familiar home setting was the norm for safety and meals.

Setting up a "home", eating and drinking and cobbling together a familiar, hopefully less frightening appearance, would be exactly what I would expect. Shades of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears.

The kids recognized high strangeness – they weren't stupid. But there was no overt threat, and enough was familiar, that they interacted with Sam. Being dismissed was the problem. The kids knew what they witnessed, knew they were truthful, knew something was off…but were completely blown off.

I think some…thing tried to make contact, and knew – and said – he was afraid of other people hurting him. But he thought the kids would be safe.

Hey, if ET could make a digital encoder from a See'nSay and have dress up tea parties while waiting for rescue, why not this? It makes a lot of sense to me.

  7. This is a really cool telling of this story. But I wish he would not have used such a stereotypical "horror film clown" for the thumbnail. The clown in the story was much more eerie feel about the way he looked. More alien, less demonic. Great work

  8. Trying out this new channel recommendation…. (I ❤ed these channels before 2020)
I appreciate edits, also a voice that has personality behind it, without!!! Or opinion, really isn't enough appreciation for the efforts that go into choosing music, photos, tone of narration,
So, thank you. First day of 2025 in the states, I choose this as my first, not my last viedo.

  9. Am I the only person to be really disturbed by this story. Two children being lured into a hut by a man wearing odd clothes and a mask. I lived in Wokingham when a young boy of 8 disappeared after a fairground visit, never to be found again. A group of PDF's were arrested years later after children's stories of the days before the fairground was open had haunted them. I won't go into details but as adults now in their 40;s, they are still affected by their memories of their friends disappearance and have a fear of other children being taken now. Young lives destroyed. Real people are more dangerous than aliens and UFO's. Watch your children all the time, they are so innocent and trusting.
