  1. I am really impressed with how the SUV held up. Although there may indeed have been at least one "rollover", from the type of damage sustained it looks more like it went end-over-end. Looking at the data is fascinating to me. 126mph, at 41% throttle, and around 3500rpm. He was just cruising, and there was obviously a lot more speed available, unless there was a top-speed governor built into the PCM/computer. Also interesting are the numbers for Steering Wheel Angle, all negative numbers on the page displayed, and pretty progressive. I'm going to assume that convention would have negative as being to the left, with the top reading being 145 degrees. About the "Massive Torque Inputs"… The "Stability Control Rate" shown in degrees/second are jaw-dropping, as there are huge swings positive and negative, in very short order. I can't say for sure whether the car's manufacturer is using dynamic yaw, or roll, or the computer's activation of the ESC system to produce those data points, but it looks to me as though the car was a bit sideways, and "Skipping", and that the car was attempting to right itself.
Thanks so much for including the data!

  2. Not saying this guy was innocent in no way but it is sad that a lot of police officers turn to alcohol and drugs because of the stress and ptsd because of the job. Most small departments offer no counseling. It should be mandatory that every officer in every department should have to speak to a counselor at least once a month but the counties in the cities say they don’t have the money which they probably don’t because the money goes to our corrupt DA and judges and other people in the court houses.

  3. You all really think they let him remain employed as the Sheriff?? Unfortunately with MN’s laws he legally could return to his former job as a sergeant for the police dept, but they canned his arse right after he was reinstated!

  4. Must be embarrassing,
    Sheriff "Hutch" Hutchinson!
To be on the same side of the bars as people you arrested, and booked and strip searched in the very jail facilty that you were the commander and chief.😂🤣😂

  5. There are 2 sayings: 1. sleep driving is worse than drunk driving, because a drunk will still try to swerve from harm. 2. When a person avoids danger in a crash, it is self preservation. The worst seat to be in is the passenger seat. The best seat is the back seat behind the driver. It is not an accident that he survived that night. Luckily, no one else was in the car.

  6. Everyone who voted this POS into office should be ashamed of their vote and his actions along with the attempted cover up by local and state officials. Change your voting practices and improve your living standards.

  7. At 126 mph, doing an endover like this can be caused by any suspension failure.Looks like this heavily loaded monster went up pretty high, too. We need to look at the data for the suspension geometry log,if available
This man is blessed and maybe a lesson is learned here

  8. I can't believe he still has his job, because he shouldn't! His blood alcohol was much higher at the crash scene…he was trashed!! Only 2 things go directly from your stomach into your blood, aspirin and alcohol!!!
He probably survived because he was so intoxicated. Shame on him.
