We haven’t t had any overtly gay lesbian or trans characters yet ,I expect that’s to come though . There have been a few subtle hints in the Hair shamooo sttly meetings between the two heavy chinned hairdresser elves but that’s all ,it’s just a repressed affair for now .The writing so far is perfect for some sort of Trans elf / orc , witchy thing , shapeshifter who is just not able to always ‘ pull it off” so to speak always ,and gets revealed ,maybe Sauron / Sonya ? I like the implication that the old hobbits practized eugenics and by sorting out the slow ones they enhanced their genetic skill to walk.
This would become very usefull thousands of years later, when a team of hobbits needed to deliver a ring to a vulcan.

C'mon man the show is awesome. And its great they have a diverse elf since christopher tolken Has already clarified on more than one occasion that the elves have no ethnicity. They are neither white or black.
The color fair skin can be applied to black people, latinos, middle eastern, white, or asian.
Elfs have no ethnicity so why would they be all white if the story is based off earth? Duh.
And the Matrix flip that the elf does is in Conjunction in what we see in Peter Jackson's films.
It's no different than what orlando bloom was doing. Except this elf is not white, so now there must be a problem with a person who is not white and is being projected as a strong masculine man.
Jesus people Get over it, middle Earth does not contain only white men. It would contain every ethnicity under the Sun.

When you just compare Berens and Lutien love story to this is a joke, which is the greatest love story in all Tolkiens works I believe, we all agree that Tolkiens would never approve this Rings of Power. It butchering source material for quick gain, incredibly greedy.
