If someone was drunk driving, racing, or any kind of reckless driving and destroy my house, I dont give a damn about them dying.
I don't know about Florida but where I live the police cannot demand your Id unless you are in a vehicle.
Entering the crime scene when youve been told to remove yourself from it is obstruction of justice along with not knowing if the building is stable.
If a COP wanted to "detain" or "arrest" a bystander/suspect, he/she shall say so; otherwise, people of the USA shall just carry on. If a person of the USA was not driving, he/she shall not be asked for a DL; it should be a "Common Sense" for COPs. If a "crime scene" was not marked clearly, no one could know where he/she could stay/pass-through.
You ask why the owner was concerned about his building because it's his building. His property and more than likely his business, meaning it says it's livelihood. Why would he care about a couple of drunk kids who destroyed his property? I would have no sympathy, just like him, if you're racing and drinking and driving. You deserve no sympathy whatsoever.
I feel like alot of people from the older generations only care about themselves and get upset at everything.
"Lawyer" that doesn't know civilians can't enter a crime scene. Yeah I wouldn't hire this guy for anything. And without providing identification, how do we know he's actually supposed to be there at all? Does he use the "trust me bro" in court cases too? What a horrible lawyer, if he even is one.

… I just reacted a few days ago to a GUY who killed his best friend driving drunk. I think it was also Midwest Safety. WTF is going on in that part the country.

She shouldn't be charged with vehicular homicide but other things, yes. I'm surprised they didn't do a drug and alcohol test on her.
