Have you tried working on your serratus to strengthen your upper body? Have you found another exercise that works for you? Let us know below 👇
Very much appreciate you providing multiple variations based on fitness/strength levels. I find a lot of calisthenics specialists cater to the advanced crowd/do what looks the coolest and don't show the easier progressions that help get to that advanced level. Great informative content!
thank you
Hey Trevor, my first language isn't English but i can understand and talk fluently and a lil bit broken English xD
Would you do a consultation with me anyways?
I'm paying for it!
but i was curious about the language "issue" before i buy the consultation at your website.
I dislocated my shoulder like 3 months ago, i can not do that plank. Only the position is imposible for me to achieve because my shoulder won’t move that much
This muscle is so hard for me to activate. I keep trying different exercises to get it to activate but I often feel it in my lats or core. Never really at the armpit. And often my upper traps get tight. The plank exercise here seems promising but still I am mostly feeling it in my lats and triceps. I'll keep trying but if anyone has any tips would really appreciate it.
I'm here for my mum, at age 89 here right scapula has "winged out", her left one is fine. The doctor couldn't explain why and did not offer a solution.
My takeaway from this video was that the reason I can't feel my serratus working is that it is simply too strong for the types of exercises usually recommended for it already. Once it started burning a bit while holding plank I finally made the connection that it's the same muscle that keeps you from collapsing at the end point of ab wheel rollout and lat pull over.
This is golden
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
I am so glad I found this. Really helped me with trying to fix my issues.
can i go to the gym anyway?
How long to fix them
You should not do it yourself, just consult an orthopedic if you have some problem, because I was trying some exercises yesterday and got my collar bone dislocated
I had sever scapula winging due to a nerve injury a couple years ago. I think I have a muscle imbalance due to a dormant serratus. How long doing this routine do you think I will get results?
2:03 isometric holdings
3:38 plank
4:34 explanation for isometric exercises
5:06 learning how to move the arms with serratus engaged
6:21 sliding arms through wall
My scapula has a medial piece broken off. Will I still be able to correct the winging that occurred due to the traumatic break? Doctors have been silent, just tell me to keep doing the PT, which has only been a couple months …had to wait until my broken wrist healed
We need a video update now that you have visited CoreXcell.
all nice but don't tuck your shin, it's not good for your neck bones. Imagine a string pulling up, yes, but you need to do the opposite of the chin tuck aka reaching forward with your nose. You'll understand why so many people have ultra tight trapz anf ucked up shoulders There is a good neuro/sport rehab guy on YT who explains why chin tucks are useless and can make stuff even worse.
Bro just shave
50 dislikes? there either mistakes or really fucking stupid people.
The serratus alone does not fix the problem for me. I do boxing so my serratus is incredibly strong. But still have winged scapula like wild haha
Amazing. Thanks so much.
This video is exactly what I’ve been searching for!!!
My right scapula is messed up, my lower traps & rhomboid area is weak, my Serratus Anterior is weak causing scapula instability and that also makes my right pec & right side of my core weak & has even led to GERD.
But annoyingly since injuring my upper back, i have lots of pain around my eyes – I'm guessing it's some nerve connected to the back, because when i work on my Serratus Anterior i feel the pain near my eyes kinda flare. When i lie down my body heats up & i need anticonvulsants to sleep smh 😔
Can we all just sit back for a second realize how great this man is?!! Man deserves his flowers!! I have ankylosing spondalitis. The wonderful auto ommune condition. I won't get into my problems, but I will tell you this. This gentleman saved my life with this video right here. I had severe neurological problems from pinch nerves in my scapula. So bad that it was affecting my speech, Walk everything!! Doctors said well with your disease. We can't do much for you as far as operation. And there's not much other than we can do.Besides some bullshit exercises that they gave me. I'm very healthy.I take great care of myself as far as exercise. But i've never been able to solve the riddle. Riddle solved. Dude I can't thank you enough!! I'm just some comment that you read. But trust me there's a person attached to this that gets teary-eyed 😢. I.
Went to hell bro. Thank you for bringing me towards the light!! Again flowers deserved!! 💐 😊😊😊😊😊
When I do this my pecs are super contracted. I can never get them to shut off and my collar bones are jammed up into my neck lol
Dude bless you. 32 and a decade of scapula issues manifesting as severe rib cage pain. This is starting to alleviate the pain. Watched so many videos on you and went to so many practitioners and physical therapists.
Just did it and the pain vanished!
TY so much+
Yeah impossible bro, my left scapula rises so high on my left side, i have no control over it at all during the plank. Cant do it
