My great grandfather from Jalisco rode with Pancho Villa & the Cristeros!
Red dead redemption brought me here
Diaz sounds like Trump
Who else is revising for IB HL History?
Gracias, no se
So long
That is a picture of Maximillian and his French forces being defeated 50 years earlier rather than the revolution. You can go and see it at the Castillo de Chapultepec. 3:35 3:35
Pancho Villa AL ng wirh these orher mwn were murderers and rapists. We should not gloridy them. U firgot townrion how rhe US manipulate the whole thing and started the Mexican revolution.
Amazing video, my partner is Mexican and it's been really useful since I want to learn more about the history and the culture of this beautiful country
…Soo nothing really changed after all that… 🫤 I hate how history never really resolves anything. Everyone still loses and everyone still dies in a pointless conflict 👎
During the Porfirito, DIaz had taken away the CatholicChurch's property and liberalized Mexico. At 9:14 he claims that the power of the Catholic Church was reduced? How? Didn't Porfirio Diaz manage to write anitclerical laws into the Mecian Constotution? Yes, infact he did. Every video I see about this era always claims that the sorrows of Mexico are directly linked to how "poerful" the catholic church was, but the only thing I ever see is the Catholic church being kicked down, its property taken away, its priests and nuns hounced and exiled, and persecuted. So how is it that videos like this one put out tropes like " reduced the power of the Catholic Church" ? What power??? The only ones with power in Mexico have always been the Liberal Progressives who take power by forced, become dictators, and institute anti clerical laws becuase they fear the loyalty Mexicans have towards the Catholic Church. That's were its power comes from, the fact that Mexicans, against all odds, the poor people of Mexico love their Catholic Church.
Viva villa❤
Diaz was not a friend of the middle class🤣
My great grandmother and grandfather were soldiers against zapata ultimately my great grandmother died from giving birth due to complications from getting shot in the lung
My great great grandfather fought in the mexixan revolution.
I wonder what my Great grandparents saw during those times
“Backed by the United States” that sole phrase renders the removal of madero as another intervention of the us in foreign affairs, Jesus Christ add it to the list I guess, know that whole thing seems fishy to me
Zapata assassinatied in 1990? And you mentioned things happening in 1900s many times before it actually was 1900s. Shape up.
Pancho Villa in the north and Emiliano Zapata in the south forfeited the haciendas from foreigners and established ejidos to redistribute the land to the natives
Doc Holiday and Billy The Kid fought along side Pancho Villa and Zapata. Wyatt Earp didn't want to get involved in the Mexican Revolution because he was retired.
Obregón routed Villa in four battles: Celaya 1, Celaya 2, Trinidad, and Aguascalientes.
I wish make into tv show
1)You know what’s another name for Porfirato = neoliberalism 😅
2) Taft met with Diaz in 1909.
• The US had just conducted its first real coup in Nicaragua in 1909 with the removal of President Zelaya. Zelaya was provided asylum in Mexico.
• The US had retaken the task to complete the Panama Canal and didn’t want any competition from Mexico and its investors with the isthmus of Tehuantepec
• In 1910 Madero was financially aided by the US
Ahhhh yes, the Mexican Revolution, background for countless Westerns in the 60s.
100 Rifles is my favorite! ❤
Viva México 🇲🇽!
my great grandpas cousin was venustiano carranza.
"Poor Mexico. With your Spanish Conquistadores and your American factories"
My great grandfather was a young boy during this time and got to see Pancho Villa across a street when he was passing by.
