One small point : the funeral occurs in June , but the footage shown is clearly in winter.
Also the flypast aircraft appear to be F-101s , which had been retired from USAF usage prior to the relevant date (…though it could be an ANG unit performing the flypast)

I dont understand what this movie represents and what is trying to say,bicouse thats the point of every movie specialy "documentary" ones. Isnt it? You try to make a point,tell something not told before,show things through diferent filters.
But ,this movie…I see it as work of somebody who did not even tought things through or even did not care,like yellow newspaper article that did not care at all what is thrut. And I am not even american but I find it totaly ofensive and made to diminish glory and extraordinary achivments of that generation of astronauts and scientists who had to break known limits of the time to achive something as great as that and making movie like this is like pissing in your own yard and loughing. Why? What was the point. You are spitting on my heros for 5 min of fame on net and I resent that much.I hope that there is more people like me today in USA or anywhere in the world. The convincing acting makes up for the thin plot and cheap production style. I'm 55 mins in so far…
Edit: I stuck it out til the end. It was mediocre as a mystery and not really there as a sci-fi or an action movie.
There was no fictional science per se. Having fictional astronaunts returning from a fictional mission in a real spacecraft that flew real missions in a real program is simply setting part of the plot in space, not making science fiction.
There was almost no action. It's mostly scenes of people being interviewed, still photographs, and some scenes of lost astronauts sitting around or stumbling around in the desert.
Nevertheless, I gave it some of my time…a couple of stars.

John Glen was asked by a little girl, why have we never gone to the moon again. he said: that is a good question probably because we never had the technology and on a talk show he said, wasn't that a great line: "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." He said too bad it never happened. Strange how they spent billions on g-force training etc and yet William Shatner at age 90 when up in a rocket into space without training. Wat a ripoff. hahaha. Why haven't the russians gone. They said how did you get through the Van Allen radiation belt and throught the astroid field.. Our response ….lucky. hahaha

It’s appalling that NASA allowed their name to be mentioned in this work of science fiction. To unsuspecting viewers who’ve not followed space exploration closely this can be easily mistaken for a real documentary. Case in point, just read some of these comments. This is how disinformation spreads like wildfire.
I believe the moon landing actually happened. My cousin was an astronaut , (1st untethered walk in space ) Bruce MaCandless.11 . He knew those that men personally and told me that they did, in fact, land on the Moon.
