  1. I don't want to be overly negative on my channel but I have to pin this comment. I've gotten a lot of hate for correcting my speech around the word Indigenous – never thought I'd be called a racist pig and a woke liberal in the same day, new to YouTube and it's been a wild ride lol. I don't like shallow wokeness at all, and a lot of far left people are just douchebags and want to police every little thing. But as a card carrying Conservative I'm highly disappointed with some of my brethren. Using correct terminology in publicly presented informational videos isn't woke, it's necessary. I'm not shooting the breeze on the weekend with buds, there are different standards for public speech and private chat with friends. Duh. I don't think it's racist to say the wrong words, it's just not the best choice for videos like this. Duh.
Sounds trite, but I truly want this to be a channel where people come together from different backgrounds and political stripes.
I appreciate everyone watching and engaging with my videos, cheers!

Note – I said at the end of the video that I'd be posting a gangs of Calgary video on Sunday. I'll be posting a different video this Sunday and then the gangs of Calgary video next week.

  2. I would like to hilight that skin color and clothing style make a huge difference in understanding that thought about cops being the biggest gang in winnipeg.m9sy causcasian looking people have no clue, unless they fit the socioeconomic statis of looking like life is lived in poverty

  3. Aboriginal is more correct than indigenous. “Natives” are objectively not native, nor are they indigenous to North America. To say so is to imply they are a separate species from the rest of humanity who are objectively indigenous to Africa.

  4. I’ve grown up in Winnipeg from the 90s and 2000s and what you say was right, from the early 2000s there was many IPs that I’ve seen in the street and tried jumping me and seen also MW, and my aunt was friends with Krazies and seen Deuce and Mad Cowz around also, the 2000s was the most horrible tho, seeing all those gangs in every street

  5. I call bs! Indian posse started in front of the castle on Langside street; Burton La Porte’s place. Ray Ray, Ron, Chris and his brother Spencer La Porte and; I can’t remember if richy d and his brother were there as I was high af.

  6. Another good term gaining in common use is "First Nations" which no one seems to have a problem with when used for indigenous people who aren't Metis or Inuit which are something else. This is mostly because this is the only term First Nations people actually chose for themselves, specifically when tribes in Yukon settled their land claims in the 1980s and where asked what they wanted to be called in the documentation.

  7. Like you say, pretty sure IP is the dominate gang in general at least across Winnipeg – Saskatoon as a region, but then individually within those cities, gangs like Warriors or TS are the other dominate presence in their respective locality. I feel like my impression as random prairie kid too was that groups like HA traffick in drugs / weapons and generally outsource their actual violence etc in their respective subordinate gangs like you kinda mention in the previous video. Also feel like Redd Alert is the other big one. I think Hells Angels and Outlaws of Winnipeg had pretty public war in the 80s-90s as an off shoot of their larger war in Quebec / Ontario at the time, but now I feel like HA is kinda the main known outlaw mc in manitoban's minds

Lol one of my impressions of both Saskatoon and Winnipeg is, 'its not as dangerous as people say it is,' but then even though I can't fight or nothing I'm just a tall dude in general and maybe shit like that keeps me a lot safer at night, but then I've also ran into lots of meth heads at least the last 2 yrs especially in a place like Saskatoon. Even walking downtown while visiting the city last week, a dude pushing his legless friend in a wheel chair asked me if I wanted any 'up,' I thought maybe coke but I assume meth, cuz they were 'cutting up around the corner' but I recognize that could also just be an attempted mugging, even if a legless mugger is an unlikely mugger :p Definitely feel like Saskatoon / Winnipeg today see a lot more open poverty and drug use etc than like, if you were to walk downtown a decade ago, but I also feel like lots of the violence that came with that is basically insular, happening to people in that drug scene of meth / fent from people also involved in that, and of course their families / friends and other adjacent people by circumstance, not so much like random violence or shit like that.

  8. you meant no harm when using those words and they also don't even carry any racism anyway. the people that are getting mad about it are also the people that are hard to please. keep doing your thing man

  9. Free speech still exists in Canada, so use whatever words you want to express yourself. Political correct language is the downfall of society. Winnipeg is a shithole and has had problems with the indian population for over a hundred years. It will never get better untill that population learns to live independantly in a city and not depend of the concept of victimhood. Enough money has been given. That is the plain truth.

  10. I used to be involved in wasting my life being useless everyday to my family and the world and myself.
Then I grew up and got my sh*t together so my kids could have a better life.
I got a full time job in construction and got 100% sober (well except for a couple beers here and there on special occasions lol – but I dont get wasted and dont use drugs at all anymore – even quit cigs and work out almost everyday)
I am now truly happy and free and am wish I would have done it sooner.
