MY OPINIONS: Andor is the anomaly. It's really the only competent show disney Starwars have ever made, and it's not just good, it's actually great. Because Tony gilroy and Diego luna actually want to tell a fucking story, and they know how to write compelling, interesting , morally questionable characters on both the "good" and "evil" sides. Andor is great, even though season 2 had to remind me that it took place in the same universe as every other bland, emotionless cashgrab disney has made. It's the only good show, and yeah it can be slow at times but when it is slow mostly it is fleshing out characters and building up to big plot points.
Apart from not mentioning Andor being a good show compared to the slop of everything else, I agree with everything you said in this video. The rest of Disney starwars sucks because its bland and character-less, and the only emotion is usually makes me feel (apart from a slight cool factor when i see a blaster fight) is cringe

I recently had two 16 hour flights, and out of 300+ movies at my hands, I watched Episodes 4 and 5 on the first flight and 6 on the return. And I would do it again.

I think what makes Rey so unrelatedly is that in a good story, the hero is never the best at anything. The hero wins because of their innate goodness. Luke didn’t win because he was a better Jedi than the emperor, and he didn’t even win cause he was better than Vader. He won because his goodness appealed to what goodness was in Vader which did two things. 1) Vader didn’t try to kill him and so his guard was down enough for Luke to beat him. 2) Vader then killed the emperor in order to save Luke. And a bonus 3) the pride of the emperor blinded him to the goodness appealed to Vader and blinded him to Vader’s betrayal. Luke won because he was the only one strong enough to remain decent in spite of his surroundings and not be prideful. He remained steadfast in his goodness, that’s why he’s the hero. Isn’t that what we all want, to remain good regardless of our surroundings? Isn’t that what history’s heros are praised for?
We really should consider after Disney non canon dispute licasfilms and Disney’s bs. Create a label BD (before Disney) and AD (after Disney)

There are 3 Star Wars movies. Three. Anakin being rebuilt while Padme died of a broken heart…. the originals were magical, everything after is just forced, and we only buy into it because we love the original movies so much. Episodes 1, 2, and 3 would not have created this empire if they were the first movies released.

I still remember talks about making movies with focus on the sith, in comparison with what we know about the jedi. Movies staring Darth Maul, Darth Revan and the rest of the expanded universe.
Then the worst thing happened, Darth Disney took over and droped all previous talks about the new movies, labeled the expanded universe ''Legends'' (called it for fan fiction) and destroyed the universe with 3 new movies centered a overpowered main character and any hope for a good future was gone.
