  1. The oilier component of tears comes out of separate location to the more watery component. My oil component stays in my eyelids & very little comes out. This means my eye dry very quickly after each blink. Using heat to increase oil can just make it more blurry. The surface & interior still relatively healthy from what they can tell. I'm not sure of the internal lens shape at different focus positions. My Dx not dyslexia, not keratoconus. My reading span is 3-4 characters wide, I pass peripheral tests but my central acuity drops off more quickly than most people (like having multiple angles of astigmatism).
    YMMV.

  2. Dr! I thought I had dry eyes or conjunctivitis in one eye but the irritation was actually from a lower eyelash growing upwards and scratching my cornea! My PCP noticed and removed it. I felt fine immediately.

  3. Hey I discovered an awesome technique that helps me a lot with dry eye! I take a sip of water and don't swallow and lie down. I just let the water pool at the back of my throat for about 20-30 seconds and the water I guess goes through some tube and makes my eyes all moist. It really works!

  4. Just as a point of interest, dr Brooke goldner is helping patients with autoimmune disease with plant based diet and the omega3 is flax and chia- it apparently works well despite research saying ALA doesn't convert well. Cheers

  5. There's a fine line between supplementation and inviting other unintended and unwelcome consequences. In the case of omega-3 fatty acids, new research, several studies in fact, link omega-3 to increased levels of cardiac dysrhythmias in some patients. I'm not suggesting that one should therefore not supplement with fish and other oils, say walnuts, but to do so with a firm clarity and understanding of other factors of oneself that might mean taking it slow and easy. Consulting with one's primary physician, for example, might be a great first step to ensure you're not doing yourself any harm.

  6. My dry eyes began like in the spring of 2020. Everytime my dry eyes act up. Before I touch my eyes to ease the tears or pain. I need to wash my hands with sanitizer wipe or gel because to protect me from getting Covid.
