I thought the idea was to hide BEHIND a tree for protection!🤣 Also: There's no way any self respecting scientist would have their labcoat Sunday buttoned with Monday & look like a walking haystack. I have never seen such an apathetic performance by actors in a B movie EVER. I mean watching paint dry would give this movie a run for its money on the excitement factor. No caver even an amateur would proceed into a cave after an earth tremor and no caver would ever tell you to look UP at a stalagmite!!
I hope there is never a country that has to rely on an 'expert' who can't muster so much as a raised voice to convey an earth shattering earthquake is on its way.
Other things that don't make sense: he phones the Doctor who has financed his 'work' for the last 2 years & he has to introduce himself as apparently he's never spoken with her before. She's a doctor (presumably in his field, not the colds & sniffles kind) and has to question if the recent landslides, sinkholes & earth cracks could possibly be related! I mean the entire movie is just one giant face-palm to the head.
He says that it could be the largest earthquake in recorded history & there is LIKELY to be some destruction & POTENTIALLY some loss of human life. Keep in mind this is going to be greater than 9.7 on the Richter scale in an area inhabited with humans! He has roughly 6 hrs. before this earthquake hits(another # apparently pulled from his ass) & he looks like he's on his way to get groceries instead of rushing to get to his family. I'd be amazed if he was going any faster than maybe 60 km/hr!
I also love how his benefactor says that the door to her disaster bunker will be closed 10 minutes before the earthquake hits. I hadn't realized just how accurate his forecasting must be!
I also love how he gets runover top of by a landslide of boulders with not so much as a scratch on him!
Further inconsistencies & incredulities:
-A complete stranger who upon hearing the news of the impending earthquake, gives him her car to go rescue his family.(apparently going with him doesn't occur to either one of them, which ends badly for her😂)
-After escaping from the house the girls were in, a whole mountainside of boulders bears down on the house without flattening so much as a single tree in their path.
-Woman who gave up her car gets hit head on, even though she has to be standing sideways with the hill BEHIND her. Btw, there is nothing to obstruct the view of the driver, she just runs her over because??
-Terrain goes from fully forested areas into completely denuded hills in the same shot several times.
-People bang on the door of the shelter to be let in. Lady says there is nothing they can do to help them. Umm…yes, you could just open the door & let them in.
-Earthquake isn't just very punctual, it triggers an alarm just before it is to occur, with a handy 10 second countdown no less!
-Benefactor says she was getting the bunker ready for several years but tells his wife if he hadn't alerted her a whole 6 hours prior they would have had nowhere to go!?!
-Despite the urgency to get to the center of the shelter for safety, they keep stopping to remind each other that they have to get to the center of the shelter for safety.
Absolutely nothing makes any sense in this movie. Next time around, maybe they could choose #1-actors that can actually act and #2-actors who will actually put a little effort into making this seem like a disaster movie rather than reading the safety instructions on how to operate a seatbelt on an airplane.
If you are looking to watch a good, solid disaster movie, I highly recommend that you give this one a pass. If on the other hand you want to watch a movie that is hysterically funny with its sheer ludicrousness, you might want to watch this. Some movies are just so bad that they wind up being good. It also might help to watch this either drunk or a little high on something!

What a piece of crap movie this was. This is the worst movie I have ever seen, and that is saying alot. Retarded CGI, rock slides where there shouldn't have been, the main earthquake wasn't as bad as the tremors were, and stupid ass plot. Taking a woman's car just to abandon it a few minutes later, real compassion there. You are in a race against time to get to you're family to save them, would you stop for something small laying in road? At the very least, he could have pulled the car up to where the thing was in the road next to the door, open the door and pick it up without ever having to get out of the car. Great work film makers, NOT!!

Not professional actors I assume? Very unnatural conversation and wrong expressions.. gaps and pauses misplaced and too long. I won't make the end but I'll give it a bit more time cos I'm ill in bed with nothing better to do 😅

I don't think I've seen anything more dreadful. The writing, acting, story, direction, any and every aspect of this movie is unskilled and poorly executed. This isn't even good for background noise. It's horrible and I watched it so you don't have to.
If this movie was food, you'd send it back and call poison control, it's that bad.

I know it's always getting a divorce wanting a divorce separated or divorced with kids and ex wife has kids that dad is a bad guy no matter what he does. Always a new husband or boyfriend in the picture that is a better father figure. It's ridiculous.

This is what happens when the woman does not see how much the man does for the family and uses his time for the family. All they think about is spending time but he sacrifices his time for the family. He gets divorced until they find out what he does for her…

I’ve watched some really crappy acting in my time but I wouldn’t even call this acting.
Absolute rubbish. Clearly below a B movie. No budget for smallest effects. Lead actor was almost catatonic. Another hour lost to oblivion.

What a stupid movie. No cities are destroyed. It's a long drawn out movie that takes so long to get to the point that it is beyond boring. Summary. Scientist knows there an earthquake. Family gone on holiday. Goes to find his family. No explanation for rocks following men to make them die. Gets to shelter. End of movie. Stupid movie.
