  1. Hi, Desi, if your really like films like Dirty Dancing and Only you, then you are really my sister from another mister ! I LOVE those movies,. Pesonal recommendations from my side are .A. Story with Steve Marin and Victoria Tennant ( his former wife in real life ) a magic story about true love. Funny as well as romantic. And Cocktail with Tom Cruise and Elizabeth Shue in the leading roles. . Even a romantic Love Story. Fun Fact: The parent-trap is one of my traditional christmas movies, it came one year on christmas day on TV and since then i became my tradition , to watch that movie on christmas day

  3. Thank you for recommending Every Summer After. I paused the Video and purchased the audiobook right away, so delighted that it's set in Ontario. Have you read This Sumner Will Be Different by Carley Fortune too? I ordered it when I was halfway through Every Summer After and thought of you right away because it's set on PEI and there are several Anne of Green Gables references 🥰

  6. Its summer in Australia now…this is such a beautiful page and I love how your videos for each season bring about a fresh appreciation for them.

  7. here are 5 MOVIES I think fits the vibes
Under the Tuscan Sun it's a beautiful movie set in italy, with lovely characters and uplifting energy, found family, independent women
It's Complicated with alec baldwin, meryl streep and steve martin
Moonrise kingdom by wes anderson, two young teens in love decide to runaway together and camp in a hidden beach, with trails, small island, camp scouts, and summer rain, also bruce willis and bill murray
talented mr ripley – either the alain delon or the jude law one, great mystery set in italy and old money vibes
    Monte Carlo with Selena Gomez

  8. "Call me by your name". It is my favorite movie. Height of summer in a small Italian town and two young men falling in love. This kind of love is the most intense. The one that you will remember your whole life. I cried so much in the end. The book is also great. Quite explicit, so not a teen movie or book for sure.

  9. I love your taste in books and films! I recently bought Every Summer After and I really look forward to reading it; I love lakes! I also read One Italian Summer and I absolutely hated it because of the main character. I also have To Catch A Thief on my to watch list. It seems like such a summer movie! Love you Desi ❤

  10. This summer I’ve put in an application to volunteer at a local animal sanctuary and I feel like one morning a week I can help out and get to know their individual little personalities ❤

  11. This year is my first year driving. I have a little green sage fiat 500 and it feels so vintage to drive! This makes me feel so happy this summer, I’m 37 and took a long while to get here driving. Every time I get in the car I feel so excited and play inspiring imaginative music and drive along the coast where I live. I live on a coastal island called the Isle of Wight in the uk. Queen Victoria used to live here and there is alot of Victorian era buildings here

  12. I live dirty dancing. I remember watching it as a kid with my friends family 😅 and loving it. I recently started playing the songs and grease for my 9 year old daughter and she loved them!

  13. The spoon you were using with your blueberry lavender granola reminds me of the spoon on the cover of The Golden Spoon, which I’m currently reading. Also, have you heard of the TV Show called Summerland? It’s starring a younger Zac Efron and Jesse McCartney, and one of the Panabaker sisters from Disney Channel. I’m surprised it’s not in your recommendations! It was one of my obsessive favorites while it was airing. It was probably on the CW

  14. ❤❤❤❤❤❤ summer has just gotten so exciting! Thanks for sharing, I grew up in RI and spent time at the beach and walking thru nature. You’ve reminded me of all those pleasures!

  15. I’m enjoying your videos so much! I’m an autumn and spring girlie who does struggle a lot in summer. This video inspired me a lot! I’m working on setting up a reading nook on my back patio that’s very inspired by Practical Magic…which is a summer and autumn movie in my mind! Also embracing coastal grandma 100% 🐚 💙 ☀️
