  1. I think there should be no place on an application for your race. Hire for ability to do the job. I follow jojo too and you and your wife have done an amazing job raising kids. Watching him gives me hope for our future.

  2. a job should NEVER be given to someone based on the color of their skin!! Jobs should be gotten by the persons SKILL SET FOR THAT JOB! DEI is Racist ! How about , no matter what your skin color is, we just hire people that can do the job amazingly well?!?!

  3. I think they are cutting programs and then will hire back on merit and new graduates ✨🙏🏼✨ it’s extreme at first and will level back out. Everyone hold on for the impact and then turbulence will subside 💖👍🏼🇺🇸🙏🏼✨ They will have some other programs to hire for

  4. Van DEI fastrax certain groups into positions based upon factors other than merit. I understand your concern for your children. However, if your children are capable and have the abilities that you have clearly spoken about, they will have no problem applying to government positions based on their own merit. That's the point. Sometimes when we take a stand on principle, we go against even our own advantage that could be gained by accepting compromise in the system. I have been in many places in life where if I didn't act on principal I would have gained a great advantage but did not because I chose the right principal before personal promotion. In time the cream will rise to the top. Whether the cream is white, black, red, yellow, male, female or whatever. Female or whatever. Don't let your emotion cloud your ability to stand upon the right principle. The principle is merit not advantage because of your gender, race or sexual preference. I say that with all due respect and admiration for your program. Pastor John Ricci

  5. I hate to see people of any race, male, female lose their job. I agree with Trump in what he's doing but I question the idea of firing people. I hope he knows what he's doing because everyday people and their families are being affected. Thanks Van.

  6. Van, we dont say racism doesn't exist, but we do say the country is not racist and we try to eliminate racist policies. DEI is a racist policy, but it is also sexist, classist, etc. I think you should put it that way, because it almost sounds like your dismissing the fact that it discriminates based on race in favor of the other things it discrimates against

Edit: I do understand what you are saying that we could or are probably ignoring that we could be assuming most people could be getting hired via DEI though and we have to pay attention to our own biases

  7. I hope i can articulate this the best i know how, what i see happening right now with trump doing what he is doing ,I would call, DECONTAMINATING the whole of the government. Like decontaminating a crimescene involving a druglab no one gets in until the place is stripped to bare bones treated and rebuilt so it is safe for a family to occupy that space again. Being that its all of government it will be a long process before it is done.

  8. I think it was super unkind of the last administration to bloat the government and offer promises that could not be kept. If we had any reasonable leader this time, they would have to lose these promises of government positions. I have lived here thru many administrations in the metro area. The only thing that has changed, about government firings is now we have platforms that share this . Every administration does this. Unfortunately poor Joe did not know what was happening. I could be your grandmother Van. I taught 45 years and many different cultures and races. When I taught students from other countries,I would ask what culture do you think is most prominent in our country. The answer was always Black. Then I would say, interesting, why do you say that. Well, your government, entertainment, music, sports seems to represent the black culture the most. . I thought this was interesting. This was way before Trump. However, the metro area does represent a high percentage of the black culture and should be represented accordingly. And,I am glad you said DEI is not as racist as the media makes it out to be. Shame on the last administration though for making promises that were unrealistic, especially to our younger generation. I see Governor Moore in the paper is under attack now for having to let staff go in the education community. Maryland has some serious issues now. Very serious! Sometimes, leaders have to make tough decisions that will never be popular.I am truly sorry you are in the cross hairs this time Van. I do send prayers to your daughter .

  9. Disassociating from openly black institutions is the same as disassociating from openly white/asian/indian/latino etc. institutions. My understanding of HBCUs is that originally they were just colleges that accepted black people during a time when you could openly discriminate against people based on race. Perhaps they shouldn't be named HBCUs if they're really just colleges. If the HBCUs are discriminating based on race, as has been what all colleges have been doing across the country with their enrollment offices, then I think its fine for the government to disassociate with them. Conversely, they should be openly condemning racial quotas and any institutions that incorporate racial quotas, this would include otherwise HBCUs. If DEI policies are instituting enrollment quotas based on race, they are racist DEI policies. If a DEI policy is merely condemning racism and instituting policies that openly condemn racist behavior, then that's just anti-racism.

If your kids can get a job based on merit then I think that's pretty much all the bases that need to be covered. This was and is the problem with having affirmative action so integrated into the system. There may not be any doubt based on competence, but doubt has been created via affirmative action. Critical Race Theory uses DEI as a cloak and DEI uses affirmative action as a dagger. CRT gave birth to DEI and DEI latched onto AA in order to infect institutions across the board.

Also, I'd like to see some more info regarding the "blacks are served 7th" on the DEI rankings ladder. DEI has specifically been weaponized as a wedge issue to deny both Asian and Jewish college enrollment in recent history based primarily on those particular groups over representation in higher education.

Still love the content and you keeping it real. Wouldn't be here if you didn't.

  10. I usually agree with you but I've got to disagree with you on DEI not being Racist! If DEI bases everything off a persons Race, Gender, Sexual Orientation & skin color then what else is one to take it as?

  11. White Boy? I wish we could have this conversation. Niggah. And i dont think you want to see Trump do well. Getting rid of DEI not getting your kids hired IMMEDIATELY after graduating? Awww, join the real world. Black boy.

  12. The original idea of DEI was a good and well meaning idea, but a bunch of grifters have taken it over to " teach ' DEI, give so called " certifications" to companies. It has been hijacked by the trans community, which i really believe has been hijacked as well. I really hope your children get the jobs and other opportunities they want, i know if they are your children they are amazing. I appreciate your honesty. I agree with you for the most part on nearly everything.

  13. As far as removing "all the black people "…
Which black people, and why? His first term was a daily battle against leftist government workers. He is purging them this time around to reduce opposition to his agenda

  14. There is a very good reason why the "racist" rhetoric is being used. The leftists have used that word as a bludgeon against conservatives for decades, branding everything imaginable as racist. Literally. Google "is (fill in the blank) racist?"
It is called illustrating the absurdity of an opponent's argument.

  15. Trumps cabinet has homosexual, heterosexuals, women, and all races so I'm not sure why you would think he is getting rid of any shade. In most worlds people don't think/hire based on what u do in the bedroom or the shade of your skin. The only ones that harp on that are those with marxist ideals.

  16. Amen, Steven Miller. Love him. DEI is racist and discriminatory. You are correct. Because of it have been held back from jobs as a white person. Including getting into University. It needs to be by merit. These people will succeed, based on their abilities. I would write Trump a letter and let him know your feelings. He actually reads them and responds.

  17. Stop using the word democracy. That from the time it started being used was suttle brainwashing. We have never been a democracy. I'm so dang sick of hearing the word from people that should know better. The definition between a democracy and a republic are completely different. One is good and one is bad. We have a democratic process which is the vote. However it's not a full Democratic process simply because of our electoral college. Mob rule goes to the smallest voice matters. I'm talking about these damn politicians who know better.

  18. It doesn’t matter what color your skin is. Get an education, work on your skills, and go after what you want! The government isn’t the only employer! Quit making excuses and be the best you can be and this country is your best opportunity! Now get to work!

  19. Bro, there's no way you're saying this dumb s*** you're literally playing victim right now. Shut the f**** it's sad cuz I like your channel too but come on man like do your research. Dei is for people that are getting put ahead over more qualified candidates and if you don't understand that, sorry about that. Again, I love your channel man, but this video made you look completely racist against white people and there you go. If you're not for this, then you're immediately racist. Stop playing the race card 24/7 it's disgusting

  20. Hi Van! I know you don't do many music reactions these days but I think you would like the message in Tom MacDonald's new song "Man in the Sky". Check it out! Beautiful song.

  21. sounds like valid concerns. dei policies are definitely discriminatory, but when trying to course correct, and bring us back on the right track, we don't want to go too far in the other direction as well.

  22. many Americans have already suffered because of this government corruption. the government employees have been safe until now. It's time to wake up. life will be difficult for a while. Can you survive this? My daughter and I have a plan for survival if our business fails What is your family survival plan? Be ready now and accept the possibilities. life has no guarantees. I know it is scary. The democrat I just confronted is not thinking what a civil war would be like. I stood in front of her and made it clear, this is war. hopefully she will think about the cost of her defending the corruption and wasted spending of American citizens money that does not belong to her. I want my constitutional rights. What woke program is she willing to die for? I am angry too because a true friend is a fed worker and scared. I am pissed because Democrats promote fear and weakness to dominate our country.

  23. Hey bud , you cannot sit there and say that everyone doesn’t care how it affects people on the other side , because that’s not true. Everyone is not the same.. but DEI policies are totally wrong. You should not be getting a job because of your race your color or your creed it should be about Merit, who is best fit for the job.
