I am 20 years old and got into Star Wars when I was five. I watched the original trilogy and the prequels when I was around that age in 2011.
I started reading the lore of Star Wars (in particular the Old Republic era as I was interested in the Ancient Sith Lords and Jedi) and played the games in the Force Unleashed series's and the Knights of the Old Republic series which to this day remain my favorite Star Wars games. I fell in love with characters such as Galen Marek and Darth Revan/Revan and then began to craft my own character and his storyline (the character is basically a reflection of myself who wields both the Dark side and the Light side like Revan and Galen Marek did and refers to himself as a Grey Jedi)
I have gone from absolutely loving Star Wars (which made up almost my whole life) to absolutely hating Disney and everything it has done.
This is what began to make me think that there is no hope for the beloved world I grew up in.
The first straw was when they canceled the Force Unleashed III
The second straw was when they made the EU (which contained almost every character and story that I loved) and made it ‘Legends’ (including Darth Caedus/Jacen Solo, EU Luke Skywalker, Jaina Solo, Mara Jade and a bunch of the other stuff that was supposed to happen after ROTJ)
The third straw was this whole overload of information I just received.
I now believe that no matter if Disney decided to revert everything back to the way it was before and start a canonization of the Novels and games that chronologically came after ROTJ, Star Wars would still be dead.
Thank you Disney for ruining the world I built my whole life around, I hope you are happy for forcing and injecting all this political bullshit into the thing I loved.
