Spike strips deployed in police chase of serial robbery suspect, June 16, 2021 in St. Paul, MN



According to police dispatch radio traffic, the suspect was wanted in connection to multiple armed robberies in St. Paul, Minnesota. After a successful spike strip deployment, the vehicle slowly lost its front tire until it was riding on rims. The situation ended peacefully with the suspect being taken into custody in the 2900 block of Newton Ave in Minneapolis, MN.

  1. Is this the same incident Sheriff Fletcher talked about Friday night (Live on Patrol)? A citizen listening to the police scanner saw suspicious activity and took a picture of the suspect's car during the final armed robbery incident. Picture was provided to LEO who were finally able to ID and pursue. The suspect barricaded himself (in the car?) for several hours before giving up. Well done to all for a successful apprehension!
