I absolutely loved the original as its the best horror game made. Was sceptical about a remake but hell… I think Im gonna give this a chance.
I dont really understand all the hate, except for the fact that a ton of gamers love to cry about stuff they havent even played, but im definitely stoked for this. Looks like a solid remake in my opinion. Original game is one of my favorites and it looks like they just took that and made it modern. Not seeing a problem, but oh well, I'll probably enjoy it.
It's taking me a long time to finally understand why the combat looks awkward; it's the momentum and weight. The original game, while janky, had force and momentum to the swings that made it feel like a real weapon. What appears hear is it's like he's swinging a foam sword and not having that initial impact that makes it feel grounded.
Still, this game-play looks 100 times better than the official trailer and gives me some hope to the game.

Graphics look good, but the characters and movement need to get better, hair must move with the wind and accordingly with positions.

The graphics are worse than the OG. The girl now looks like a transvestite (its a self insert of one of the devs actually), because apparently the woke mob are still terrified of attractive women. The fog/ambiance is horrible compared to the OG.
How sad.

Only graphics, but no soul. Frankly, even the worst American horror movies could be scarier than this. I think some things should remain in their original form.

Every well-equipped hospital should have an emergency shotgun stocked in the locker room. This remake of SH2 looks creepier, filthier, and more realistic than the original.
This looks and sounds so much better than I could've anticipated. Can't wait to play it.

I do understand that there's a difference between bad combat and intentionally rough ones, but I do believe the jankyness is intentional; the original silent hills had extremely janky combat (admittedly due to when they were made) however, it played into the fact that the protagonist is a normal person through into the deep end, nothing like the Evil Within protagonist or Resident Evil ones who have generally, extensive training or some excuse as to why they fight as good as they do. So tbh I prefer it rough since I was worried they'd make him effectively the next Leon Kennedy

I'm so happy that we've a date for Silent Hill. I cant wait to play it. And I've seen people crying about the graphics saying it looks like PS3 graphics. Honestly i do not care about the graphics because I've grown up with the PS1, but some people aren't never happy. I'm happy it's coming out in few months!
