I actually had no idea a person who isn't involved directly could still be charged (the girl in the car), like i mean she probably knew but like imagine if it was genuinely someone who wasn't and just happened to be in the car for whatever reason like a minor or a sibling, will they still be charged?? I mean she looked like she was genuinely confused that the car is reported stolen. And it's legal to report a car stolen just because they're mad over a relationship? I'm not tryna side with her but trying to see the whole context and picture like let's say she genuinely gave the car fully to him legally and he has this bill of sale, and then because she's mad at him for being with another girl she reports it stolen? That would be messed up too on her end. But I get the cops are trying to not side with anybody because they don't have the full context of everything either and knows that she's with a shoplifter

In Portland Or. All the druggies would steal from the downtown Target because the way the building was built on three floors and L shapped it had lots of columns and wierd places that were blind spots to the cameras. The theives would take an item and just stand in one of those blind spots for a second while they put it in their pants, shirt or jacket
