Why not just kneel and hold like in american football? Less likely to get hit, up sooner if the kick is missed, there's really no benefit to lying down.
Wait until rugby players learn about the NFL. The backup qb or sometimes the punter has to catch the ball and quickly set it up and hold it properly for the kicker all within just a couple of seconds.
