  1. Stop speculating the investigation is still ongoing. Have respect for the victims and their families. If these were white pilots definitely you wouldn’t be saying all these nonsense

  2. Incompetent news reporting panel by the sounds of it. "Retracted flaps instead of the landing gear". I mean seriously? It's like saying- " x opened the car door instead of turning on the AC in the car"

Point I'm trying to make is the flaps and the landing gear are both placed at a completely different location in a cockpit.

Stop leading people into believing things that you think might have happened and patiently wait for the Air crash investigations concluding reports to tell you what exactly happened.

And, instead of broadcast incompetent content for views, it would be humane to show some respect to the lives lost.

  3. Astonishing level of ignorance and arrogance demonstrated here by Sky News.
Some simple facts have already been confirmed by true experts in the aviation field based on recently discovered and verifiable facts – BUT always with reservation and the assumption that conclusions depend on verification from the Flight Data Recorder and Voice Data Recorder.
The pilots did not "forget" to raise the gear. The gear retraction appears to have sequenced up from the normal airborne REAR TILT then ceased sequencing because of a major failure.
The iPhone video shows the gear tilted forward which is the initial and necessary gear movement on up selection to enable the gear to streamline fit into the aircraft structure.
The sequence is rear tilt / gear up selection / gear doors open / gear hydraulically moves to forward tilt / gear rotates inward / gear doors close.
The pilots did not "mistakenly" select flaps up and destroy the lift.
On ground post-crash photos confirm Leading Edge Flaps in the deployed position. Trailing edge flaps selection yet to be determined by the FDR.
The pilots were not "unaware" of the seriousness of the situation. The Captain put out a Mayday call with an amazingly succinct and calm summary of the emergency.
The RAT (Ram Air Turbine) was deployed – now confirmed both by visual and audio means.
Dual engine failure is one of three main reasons for RAT to auto deploy – and this was the subject of the Mayday call.
Further ….. the original iPhone recording of the takeoff has recorded the unique and clear sound of the dual bladed RAT turbine. The full power takeoff of the Dreamliner engines would completely drown out that turbine sound – if operating normally – confirming at least engine rundown if not complete failure.
The Cockpit Voice Recorder and Flight Data Recorder have been recovered and will provide the necessary confirmation of the accident cause and sequence.
Talking heads should stick to the news – most people with an IQ higher than their shoelaces can form their own opinions.
Sidewalk Superintendents masquerading as "aviation experts" should be returned to their retirement village and a reheated bowl of Farax.
Almost zero interest has been displayed to the families involved.
There would probably be hundreds of immediate friends and family members farewelling the passengers.
It is common practice worldwide to watch the departure of aircraft – and thus this group would have watched the unimaginable first-hand.
The last thing these people need is a retard to exacerbate their trauma with suggestions of pilot incompetence and corporate conspiracy.

  4. I am sorry to say this, but anyone with at least basic understanding of flying , how can you say this sentence?
"pulling wrong lever , pulling flaps instead of gear > aviation experts believe that this explains no power " , flaps or gear don't affect power , it's just such mis-information / mixup of all the various news, really bad job on reporting

  5. The clearer original video taken from a rooftop released yesterday shows the flaps were extended and the gears in forward tilt (meaning the gear retract mechanism failed due to power failure) likely stuck in that position. A RAT power cannot power the hydraulics for gear retracting system.

On the clearer version of the runway takeoff video, a cloud of smoke is seen just as the aircraft took off the ground, blowing with the wind and aircraft wing's vortex, heading and dissipating to the left. It was not a wet runway and the engines of 787 do not emit smokey exhaust air like older jet engines. The engines do not show blasting water on the runway during the takeoff run, so it must have been dry.

This could mean a POSSIBLE sabotage micro blast inside, likely power systems or main systems control power electronics board, just before rotate and liftoff, causing the plane to climb to 600ft altitude based on the thrust available until just after liftoff when engines lost power and the aircraft started to descend..

While speculating on Flaps, Landing gears, pilot errors, RAT deployment are all good analytics, however all of them could be consequent to this one issue of possible sabotage, act of terrorism or any other maintenance failure etc, should not be discounted until completely ruled out by investigative analysis.

Just a thought worthy of investigating..
