i just want to buy rdr online i hope when i download it there is no more cheater
they added that social club bullshit on steam… so steam dont sue them… cause everyone would've asked for their money back. since the online version is a cheap p2p server connection which is the main problem for hackers… even in 2023… the online version is unplayable.
im playing red dead online and i had to switch servers because a gang of 4 hackers were camping valentine i was just trying to get a haircut in the saloon but kept on getting killed

Shhhhhhhh dont say anything. But i came across three chests that apeared out of nowhere and opened them for 5 gold and about 1000 dollars. Then this guy with a king icon apeared out of nowhere. So i ran. I wasnt aware of these chests by then. But i also was never banned and nothing happened to me from Rockstar. So i think they fixed it at least for the innocent people. Once i looked it up I was like thank god nothing happened to me. But i did just now get screwed over by a hacker. I watched someone with no icon on the map make 30 robots appear out of thin air. It piqued my curiosity. My dumb ass stayed and tried to find out what was going on. I watched as he meleed at the robots while they didn't attack back. Yet when i shot at the robots they annihilated me. Then out of nowhere i got an invite to a posse, which i never get. All of a sudden he had an icon on the map with another posse member that was a Robot. I stayed with them briefly while trying to interact with the main guy. Then out of nowhere he kicked me from his posse and i started blowing up in the sky on a continual loop as it increased my hostility every time i blew up and died in the sky. His goal was to make my bounty super high. Luckily i was smart enough to use control manager and end the program before it added up any more hostility. I died twice from the guy. And when i reloaded the game the bounty i had to pay was at 29 dollars and change. If i didn't use control manager to end it i would have been really screwed. Each death was racking up 15 dollars i had to pay. I reported everything to rockstar and im hoping i get reimbursed somehow. Im a new player. I just got the game like a week ago on a super sale for 14.99. So everything I worked for even as minuscule as it is. Like the $29. I would still like it back, because that's a couple hours worth of gameplay just to earn back. I'll keep everyone informed on what Rockstar ends up doing with an update here. Cross your fingers everyone.

This game, even 2-3 years after it stopped being relevant, is STILL overrun by hackers.
I've been blown to the stratosphere by a meadow with apparent minefield on it.
I've been harassed by 20ft tall naked hairy dude who moved super fast and was very intent on having his floppy balls in my screen 100% of the time.
I've had hacker teleport INSIDE me (glitching my controls as if I was stuck), hogtie me and teleport with me on his shoulder to the other side of the map while shouting something over voice chat.
I've seen dozens of animals with rockets inside their asses, just spewing fire as they went around.
Right now I'm near an area where some hacker messed the place so hard there's a repeating EXTREMELY LOUD explosive sound (like 10+ fire bottles and dynamites exploding at once) in Roanoke Ridge that's heard in like 2 mile radius around it (thankfully with less and less intensity, but my collecting route went right THROUGH the epicenter… there was nothing there just repeating exploding sound)
Oh wow i didn't know about this!, been playing the game for like 2 weeks or so, after completing the main story mode i decided to give the online mode a try, I was walking in Saint Denis, and these two giant alligators just spawned in front of me in the middle o the city, I thought it was just a bugg or so and try to continue what i was doing, then a chest spawned in front of me, then a few more chest spawned around me, since I'm a total noob i didn't think much of it and open them, didn't get much just some cash and a few goodies, how is a new player supposed to know this? like i didnt know im not supposed to open chest, to me it was just part of the game, i was exploring a lot hoping to find something, now i won't i'll be scared to open anything 🙁

JUST started red dead online after finishing story. finally bought a good computer to finally play this game. which i was wanting to play for SO LONG but 3 days of playing I met 2 hackers that would spawn right next to me and kill me over and over again. they fly around, they spawn right next to you.. and just makes me want to not play anymore. SO SAD because ive been wanting to play to game for so long, and finally decided to buy a computer just to play this game after 4 years. SO FRUSTRATING. like i dont care if you are a higher level player who just wants to go on a rampage, i would just get out of the way, but invincible player that flys to you is so annoying. cant even escape hackers. i dont care if you pk me without hacking thats part of the game…. but if you hack that just makes new players like me not wanting to play, killing this game for all the new players and even players coming back and veteran players.
I just Opened 5 chest, and bought myself a horse and and bounty hunter license and few guns. Now I’m really concern about what’s going to happen to my account. Will I get block or not. Idk lets hope for the best.
you know why that rockstar is so greedy? it's because the developers of red dead online they see they could earn a lot of money and then get greedy. but everyone just likes money too much and we need a part of community to become some red dead online developers but I don't know if some of them got greedy or not so guys please don't be greedy we need to do this properly right now! spread the word!
Aint shit happening to the hackers… The game is a hackers paradise… If they get banned, no big deal, run firmware mods to change serials and mac address's, change vpn's, done, you are back in the game… If the toon gets banned, no big deal, create a new toon… Regardless of what rockstar says, there isn't any push to resolve the issue… It would mean spending money… The product is complete… The only coding Rockstar and TakeTwo will do, is anything that yields them $$$… They don't give two shits about playable content, keeping the integrity of their content or if ppl play the game… If you spend money on any portion of the game, they got what they want… Anyone who has any clue as to developer customer service and how much they know they're own product, would know most ppl from these company's don't know their own product… Hell, coders don't even know their own product… It's like taking page 566 from a movie script and thinking because you read that one page or wrote it, you know the whole movie lol… No, most of these guys have no clue what their product is and could care less… So when you are at home wondering why they don't do more? It boils down to the lack of knowledge over their own products and money… If it makes them money, leave it alone, if they are losing money, shelf the product and stop spending money on it… thats it… Don't get your hopes up… Rockstar has lost enough customers to cheaters, any money they spend now to make an anticheat, they'll just lose and not get it back because they have new titles coming… players will migrate to the new titles… No one will want to spend their time and money on a game they have already lost faith in… Only thing for rockstar to do if they think they'll make more money in the long term, is to make an anticheat for their new titles… And the ban waves? lol those are lists of ppl who have been reported over the last few years when rockstar did nothing… A ban wave is their signal to players to come back and spend more money, only for the players to find out the cheaters that were banned, quit playing the game last year because the game became boring for them…. Inactive players banned… Big whoop… Todays cheaters have been cheating for months and haven't been banned… And I dont mean like, ESP cheats or No-Recoil cheats, I'm talking the full works, just unleashing everything they can to make a whole lobby quit… Rinse, Wash, Repeat… GTA 5 became so bad, the only real thing rockstar did was put them all in their own cheater lobby… No bans… If you haven't been placed there by rockstar, you can go there, not sure why anyone would want to… The cheaters supposedly can't leave those lobby's, but most figure out how, only to find themselves being put back in those lobby's months or years later… RDR2 is a good game, love it, RDO has great potential… but is ultimately a pile of garbage… If I wanted to go play with cheaters, I'd go play WARZONE…

You know the older game the original you could get four to five people to kick other people out if you know they're griefing bam they're gone their first game was so much better maintained against griefers. Also you should never be able to hit another player with explosive rounds it should only be with bullets. This would make a level playing field.
Why cant griefs be Red always especially when they're honor and possies are dishonorable, or when wanted posters come up on them what was their crime griefing or just shooting NPCs.

I saw a chest in front of the gun Smith in saint denis and I opened it, I got 0.70 something gold and 90 something money, I had no idea what it was it said treasure cheat, and thata why I opened it, so now I'm going to get banned because a cheater put that crap in the game

I just recently started playing Red Dead Online again. I stopped because the hackers and modders, random butt hurt kids force crashing your game. Absolutly nothing has changed. Seriously make dedicaded servers. Problem solved
