how does this correleate to the science of, not eating 2-3 hours before bed, since we dont want processes that is needed for digestion to be working when we're trying to sleep, what are the ill effects of that?

Idk if all this is true or not, but I use to lift 6-7 days a week without taking protein before bed. When I started taking casein and woke up in the morning I looked fuller and felt more solid.
I did it for two weeks, usually when I didn’t do it my body always looked flat and was more sore.
I guess you could try a decent brand that has both whey and casein for one scoop.

Simple solution, just drink a or two glass of milk before going to bed, you will get both whey as well as casein protein approx. 15-18 gram easily.

The downside about taking protein before bed is that you need to get up in the middle of the night to pee. Which interrupts your sleep, I think this is worse outcome.

personally, I've been doing this for 1 month on my own, only hit this video because i want know if its better or worse…. i work 12 hours so only have time to train after work for about an hour.. i wait 30 mins after to down a protein shake, eat, and then go to sleep another like 30 mins afterwards. ive seen major changes already. if only i could get a full 8 hours of sleep instead of 5/6 I'm sure there would be a lot more growth

I eat 2 things of light and fit Greek yogurt in bed every night for 24 grams of bedtime protein. I can promise you it helps both with recovery and growth. I sometimes use this on top of casein 25g.
TLDR; Whey > Casein for pre-sleep protein sup… who knew!

eating before bed is good for one thing, developing acid reflux diseases… this is why doctors always recommend your last meal 3 hours before bed. this information I am sharing comes from actual doctors, not fake news on youtube (don't believe me? go ask actual doctors).
if you want to do this, make sure it is 3 hours away from your bedtime!
