As a character driven movie and not plot driven, this is an unusual film. Additionally, it will be difficult for most people to change their perspective, not to mention activating thinking. Enjoyable dark story.

Not for me I guess. My mind kept struggling to gather a coherent storyline but nothing surfaced after an hour. Maybe that's what this movie is about… chaos without hope for any sense of resolution. Good characters, props and acting though. It was carefully crafted but I can't figure out why.

10:03 " battle of East Antarctica" !? lol. this is NOT WW1. there's crazy type tech and bio engineering ( the monster things running around and in the tank they have in their boiler room. There is a VHS tape ( invented in 1968 by JVC) Etc etc .
This is a parallel universe where WW1 didn't happen until 1930 or so. So there is no WW2 probably either, no Nazis or Hitler. Just 1 gigantic Great War, AND with more steam punk ( type) technology. Ive seem similar films. Pretty cool concept, tho not for everyone.

An alternative reality, Britain fighting Prussia ( northern German state in 19thC ) in the arctic for generations with Giant spiders and some for tea. I like it!
