The first guy who got there to "help" was annoying me so much. Literal zero care at all about the shot cop just constantly where is he where is he oh is he outside then im running away

He had enough time after the guy drew is weapon to close the door and this would’ve all been avoided
He came to the police department looking for a fight. When someone already has a gun on you, giving voice commands is pointless. In that situation, you only have a few seconds to act and defend yourself.

If you want to ambush a cop successfully, the worst way to do it is going directly to the station. I could tell you how to do it and get away with it, but I won’t because I’m not a bad person anymore.

I think the most heartbreaking statement in this entire video is his response to the question about his vest "I didn't have it on today" Stay protected people. Especially law enforcement

In uniform and no vest on? Complacent. Fail. Point #2, when bad guy pulls out a gun, the deputy hesitated WAAAAAY too long and actually allowed the suspect to point his gun at the deputy. Total failure to respond fast enough. I’m glad the deputy survived, but he hesitated way too long. I can judge, as I did the same job for 34 years.

Overweight officers, lazy officers, way too relaxed in that station. Even after seeing their comrade laying on the ground shot these officers walk up like what's going on. Grateful the officer made it.
