  1. This is one of the things I struggle with the most, I always end up cheating on the weekend. I think lack of structure like you said is the problem. Giving yourself one free meal and counter-acting it with a workout is a great idea. I think doing that on Saturday right in the middle of the weekend is really gonna help me be able to keep my diet under control for the rest of the time. Thanks for your help Dr. A.

  2. I've learned to drink two glasses of water and have a green salad with lemon & olive oil dressing prior to supper. By dinner, I'm partially full from consuming fluids, and low-calorie, high-fiber food. For salad dressings, if budget allows, invest in a variety of spices (my favorites are a good black pepper, sumac, and cedar-smoked sea salt), and a good-quality extra virgin olive oil. My favorite EVOO is Cobram Estate, it has beautiful floral/green notes and it's easily found at many grocery stores. It's primarily a finishing or salad dressing oil. Use a lesser-quality for cooking/baking.
Olive oil, lemon juice and smoked sea salt is an excellent, simple dressing that is delicious on mixed greens.

  3. Great video! The weekend is my biggest problem. For me, the weekends mean college ootball Saturday and NFL Sunday. So it is difficult for me to do healthy eating on the weekend. I love the part about simple balance eating plans.

  4. We tried to keep our eating habit even if its weekend. We don't usually go on a "cheat" day on a weekend. We may have a few foods that we don't usually eat but we still set our limit and it has to be something nutritious as well.

  5. This video came at the best time and described me perfectly. I always eat healthy during the week and then eat way too much on the weekends and feel horrible on Monday. But Dr. B's video made me aware of this behavior and how to act differently. I'm going to enjoy one cheat meal this weekend and then get right back on track with my usual diet right after. This will definitely take the guilt away!

  6. very helpful advice that supports one to stick to a healthy eating plan during the weekend and not go off the track , not being too restrictive
during the week is fresh advice , thanks FMP.

  7. I need to get my strength training started again. I never realized to do strength training a few hours before a meal. We all need to drink in moderation. I drink a beer or wine now and then. I don't drink a lot so I don't have a problem with that. Good eating and drinking advice.

  8. I'm always quick in getting foods but didn't think much about the time. One thing I liked the most among those tips is that you have mentioned we can eat food whatever (healthy food) we want but in a particular time. Though we have to switch to regular diet practice 🙁

  9. I love how these videos are not just aimed at "losing weight" but at being healthy in general. Definitely onto something with that – don't be too restrictive, because you'll blow it. My best friend is always telling me "Baby Steps!" because I find myself wanting to jump in headfirst and then find I can't stick to whatever it was….since I started baby steps, I'm doing a lot better.
